At what stage does she realise that the “small town mentality” or Ireland were never the problem and that her horrible nasty lazy attitude is the issue. She was probably called out for what she is when she lived at home. Having kids with a pilot doesn’t automatically mean you are better than everyone else. This is such a stupid thing to say... I live here and I wouldn't say this. Nobody retires here... and nobody would want to.Especially not pilots or crew.They don't earn enough to have the savings or pensions they would need. And this country doesnt want old expats. So...She'll be back as soon as hubby is done with flying. But she won't have thought of the future like this. She's so stupid it's all about the here and now pool days. bleeping bizarre that her and husband haven't discussed this...
Amen to all this! She’s all about the brag she will get some humbling along the way. She has a very average Dubai existence. A typical emirates crew family.
I can't actually imagine they are having these conversations properly. You're right though how could they possibly retire there surely they don't provide a social welfare pension and like you said her hubby probably doesn't have a private pension. She will get the shock of her life when they have to move back to Ireland or somewhere in the UK and she has to get off her lazy a and work
