That’s what I was thinking too. I have a daughter with T1 diabetes - she has to inject insulin multiple times a day. I haven’t had to inject her since she was 8. She’s now 20. MP seemed to be almost nannied by his PA. I suppose it’s typical celeb behaviour though.
Maybe he was jittery and had shaky hands? Or once the drug hits the blood stream there might be a reaction?
Or maybe because it had to be injected in a way that makes it hard for the individual to inject themselves?

The investigation was really thorough and the US police department spoke out a dark warning against dealers.
They are also investigating another dead linked to the Ketamine Queen.

They obviously made an effort due to MP's fame, but it is good that they give a warning to these dodgy doctors and dealers.

I also feel that these people are extra guilty because MP was so beloved and they also hurt his fans with their cynical attitude.
This might be wrong, but I feel this way.
MP gave strength to addicts and many Friends fans turn to it whenever they feel low and his untimely death hurt them also.

My friend bought these in New York, they paid on a self-service till too, not a single question or check.

Yes! Isn't it crazy?

The thing is that these pills worked immediately. Unlike those I got prescribed in the UK.

Sometimes they can’t do it because they’re in withdrawal or they are shaking so badly. They also run out of ‘hidden’ places to inject, so they need to inject somewhere they can’t easily reach.

Good point. Didn’t one of the doctors say that, on administering the drug, MP went ‘frozen’ and his blood pressure spiked.
If this is the case, how would a PA be qualified to administer it? Surely MP could have got a PA with even basic medical knowledge/experience?

Would you administer this powerful drug twice in one day and leave MP to ‘run errands’? It’s scandalous to leave him unaccompanied after injecting him.

I think it's worse than that, they totally knew of the risks but it was profitable so money was put above patient safety.

Synthetic opioids have destroyed whole communities and killed hundreds of thousands, but it was allowed to happen because billions could be made.
If an addict has the money people like this don't care do they. A lot of times it's some addict shooting up in some filthy place and if they die nobody cares but this was a very well known star so obviously it was fully investigated. I don't know what to think abiut the assisstant. When an addict is begging you for more it's hard to say no and being his eployer even more so. He should have kept an eye on him though knowing how much he'd had that day and especially seeing as he was going in the hot tub.

For most of the time the doctor was coming round to administer it. Then he decided to reach the PA how to do it by training him in the back of the car.

once this happened the PA was able to do it more frequently and apparently they then kept ‘running out’ of Ketamine as he was ‘practising’ so much?

So what kind of feeling does one get from ketamine. Is it like heroin?

America seems horrible for getting people addicted easily, like Matthew had an accident and was prescribed heavy painkillers which he then got addicted too. Then the doctor doesn't prescribe more and they need something else. In the UK they seem very careful about giving people addictive drugs for recovery because of this.
Same happened with Demi Lovato :(

Someone I used to work with said he took it and he couldn't sit down. He couldn't figure out where his seat was and said it wasn't a nice feeling. Guess it makes you spaced out, makes you feel relaxed like heroin would I imagine.
ETA It's an anesthetic so makes you relaxed. Apparently you can experience a k hole where you can't move.

I suppose if the PA hung around to keep an eye on MP after every injection, he'd probably never get anything else done all day.

No but considering he'd had 3 doses and the thrid was a big one and he was getting in the hot tub he should have. Passing out on the sofa, bed or floor is very different to being in water where you're gonna drown.

I had low-dose ketamine infusions for pain. I have no idea what heroin's like but I hated the feeling of ketamine. I needed two nurses to hold me up to walk to the toilet because the room was moving so much. I was sure the floor was covered with sparkling water, even though I knew it couldn't be. I dissociated every time I had it - saw things that weren't there, thought I'd been to places I hadn't been etc... It wasn't unpleasant but I think that was just luck.

It ended up not helping my pain much so I stopped. But it's an anaesthetic so I was pretty pain-free for 24 hours or so after each infusion. I can't imagine how doped up MP must have been on the amount he had in his system. It's incredibly sad.

When I was at Glastonbury last year, I hurt my leg quite badly and had to go to the pop up hospital on site. There was a lad brought in there who was in a ket hole! They checked he was ok and just left him slumped against a chair till he came out of it. He was in a right state! Head thrown back and occasionally jerking and muttering crap!

So, so sad, the whole thing. He was a young, vibrant, tennis player who dated Gwyneth the summer before fame for either of them, Everything ahead of him - I remember thinking he had so much to offer and the world at his feet - be careful what you wish for - Hollywood is a cesspit.

Still wondering how ‘there were no illegal drugs found at the scene’ according to the police report. Did the PA sweep the apartment while waiting for the emergency medics. At the level of injecting MP daily, there must have been a lot of drug paraphernalia involved.

Oh for sure he did. I bet that was his priority-as if the toxicology wouldn’t show exactly what had been going on. What a shitshow.
