I think a humble ingredient would be something basic and cheap. I can do a ton of things with a can of chickpeas including meringues so that would be my ingredient.

What would you all choose ?

Yes I think of humble as something a bit taken for granted. I'm so boring it would probably be a potato tbh. Though no idea how I'd 'elevate' it. Something like a dauphinoise?

Has Anna always done that popeyed expression? I don't remember her doing it so much in the episodes she filled in for Gregg last year, but now it's all I see. I watched three episodes in a row last weekend and found it a bit much! She's overdoing it!

The answer is she has …. but because it’s mentioned in practically every other post it’s all I see when I look at her. Thing is it’s not put on, she’s not conscious she’s doing it. If she actually thought about her facial expressions before she spoke it would probably come across worse. In the end we had to get used to Gregg Wallace’s gurning (not saying that like it’s a good thing) so eventually we’ll learn to phase it out. Whilst writing I’m gonna say the lovely Monica can gurn for England, especially during that first test the Professionals do .. so in the end it’s part and parcel of the show

Omg Olivia! I’m pretty sure at one point when the camera panned to them all standing in a line she full on rolled her eyes, stood there looking like a petulant teen with her arms crossed and pouting I can relate to RBF but she seems to take herself so seriously.

What do we think about Grace Dent being one of the new hosts? Along with previously mentioned Anna Haugh.

I like Grace Dent, not a fan of Anna Haugh but her approach on this programme may be different to her time on the Professionals.

I don’t like the comeback this series. I feel like they have an unfair advantage. Although I do like the woman, can’t remember her name but she had dark hair first time and is now blonde. Older lady.

Vera had a bad day but she could have won it. I think it was her only bad dish and I felt so bad for her. Didn’t one of the people judging say they would give her a job?

I’ve only just seen the news about this. Gutted as I love Masterchef and I think this could be the end now unless they pick new hosts very wisely. And also, would anyone who is any good want it?

I am hoping he will get some support but people are too afraid to publically speak out these days.
