I know I read that and was thinking that a French birthday sounds a lot like an English one 😂

Zut alors! Fleur has grown out of all her dresses so time for maman to tag a company in her Stories, in the hope that they'll send her freebies.

Also had to laugh today when she described a walk in the Peak District as feeling like she was on the moon!

Tell me you're shooting an ad without telling me you're shooting an ad 😇🤣.

The minute she took out those plates and wouldn't move the camera away from them it was crystal clear that this reel is absolutely not about the recipe, but about sneaking in an ad without properly disclaiming it.

Of course she has a bazillion people asking about the plates and she's throwing around the link. So predictable...

Also playing the sanctimonious mom again claiming in her comment section to not show her daughter's face anymore because she doesn't want likes for her cuteness. While having absolutely no problem showing off the girl's cuteness anytime she needs to "pay" for a gifted luxury holiday... such a hypocrite 🤢

Didn't she show Fleur's face in her skiing holiday posts?
She did. She always does when she's on (gifted) holidays. Also her approach is just so ridiculous because she constantly shows the boy's face. Claiming to not show the girl because she's in school, but showing the boy because he's not? And then breaking her own rules and show the girl when travelling? What's the point?

Makes absolutely no sense to me. You're either protecting BOTH your children's privacy and don't show their faces at all, or... you're an opportunistic hypocrite 🤷‍♀️.

But thank heavens: at least she's not EVER giving them portable screens... lucky toddlers to have such a protective maman🏆🤣

Ha I came on for this!

It’s quite ironic really when Manon’s kids must see her with a portable screen at all times. Nothing wrong with not giving kids tablets but to be preachy about it when she’s hardly setting a good example is a bit rich.

Oh and in case anyone wondered...

📢📢📢
Manon does not do portable screens.
Like EVER.

You're welcome 😇

I'm going to die on that hill: Giving your kid a portable screen once in a while to give you some respite and make traveling a little more relaxing is a million times less dangerous than daily exposing your kid (who is to young to consent) to 700000 strangers aka potential pedos. Especially in times of AI improving fast every day.

She has absolutely no authority to stand on moral highground and preach about not doing portable screens "ever".

Also, notice how she is making it all about herself: she's answering that woman in her comment section that she doesn't want people to think she's posting her kids for likes, therefore she's not showing her daughter's face anymore.

So she's not hiding the kid's face for her kid's sake but to preserve her own public appearance. Which is 100% projection: OF COURSE she's been posting her kids for likes. She has since the very day they were born. It's as obvious as broad daylight.

Another hill I'm going to die on: she's a self centered, self absorbed, superficial opportunist blinded by shiny freebies, and she's neither very bright nor a caring empathetic parent.

Who are the numbskulls in her comments praising her for giving such a humble and understanding answer to the question about not showing Fleur's face? Do they not know the meaning of the words? Humble is not a word I'd ever use to describe Manon!

we did a 10 hour flight last week and i don’t mind admitting i let my 2 year old watch bluey and paddington on my ipad for some of it. i’ll do the same on the flight home. you’ve got to pick your battles 🤷🏻‍♀️

That’s because you’re not as good a parent as Manon! I bet you don’t do French birthday parties for your kids either??

I was on the same flight as a couple with two small kids recently and I was shocked to see they expected the kids to raw-dog the four hour flight! No books, no lego, no tablet, very few snacks. At one point the woman flicked through a few photos on her phone to briefly entertain the 4ish year old. At least the younger child slept most of the journey but I felt really sorry for this little dude, he was crying with boredom a few times! I'd rather be judged by other passengers for letting my kids watch a movie than for letting them scream the plane down out of boredom tbh!

Same, we always had whatever book we were reading plus a magazine/comic and maybe a puzzle book.
I'm not sure what was up with this little family but the vibes were off tbh. Parenting is hard of course but surely you can minimise the pain for everyone!

Ah but by Manon's logic, if they are screaming then you have to help the parents out. Clearly no end to her sense of entitlement!

I'm a soft touch/empath so I kept the kid at bay by making faces at him for a while 🤣 so I agree with Manon's point to a very limited extent but parents who don't make the effort to distract and entertain their kids in public places are the worst.

So... what do ACTUAL French girls eat??

Finally a voice of truth in a world plagued by imposter French girls with fraudulent croissants and geographically inaccurate opinions.

I admit that the risk of accidentally taking unreliable dietary advice from fake French girls has felt uncomfortably high...

Can't wait to be enlightened by our resident authority on Frenchness - although after 10 years abroad: is she still entitled to speak on behalf of "actual" French girls at all? 🧐😇

I think the whole concept of eating/cooking like a French is outdated anyway. I’m French and have been living in the UK since the 90s. I remember the trends in the food industry and French food being very in at some point, probably early to mid 2000s. There was also a book called French women don’t get large released back around 2010. Not sure whether her books are successful. Other cooks have done it better before her; Rick Stein, Rachel Khoo…
