Yes I do remember! That show is 100% 90s nostalgia, I love it. Most of it would be deemed inappropriate now but it was so of the time, makes me feel fuzzy just thinking about those days.Lovely thread and I’m here because I’m a big fan of their singles; might make me a bit of a plastic but I’ve got such happy memories of doing floor slides to the middle bit in “From Despair to Where”.
talking of which, does anyone remember the programme “Game On”? The main character in it (played by Ben Chaplin at the time) used to play “from Despair to Where” really loudly in the flat when the other two went out and I just loved it.
I’m not even 40 yet but I sound like Methuselah
Nicky is one of my fave people on earth - he's always been so kind to me, checking I'm okay when we meet and waving to me on the barrier (probably thinking 'oh there she is again'View attachment 521175
Cardiff castle two years ago. Oh how I cannot wait to see you and your luscious legs again Mr Wire
I noticed that tooThey’ve just changed their profile and cover pics on all their social media - I think a new album announcement must be imminent!
I had "Manic pen pals" around the UK, we'd buy as many dates as we could get tickets for on each your and stay with our penpals round the country.I have friends in Cardiff from my Manics fan circles back in the day.
Wow, what a treasure! Not sure about the setlist writing (very distinctive 'S' - reminds me of the 'SS' logoHere's James' set list I got from Richey's last gig. Mad to think this piece of battered paper is over 26 years old.
Not sure whose handwriting that is, band member, or roadie?

Amazing! I have some setlists but only from recently of course. I'm always so jealous of old school fans, but I like to think me and my Manics pals are carrying on the tradition, travelling round to gigs, going on holiday together - they are some of my best friends now! Here's James' set list I got from Richey's last gig. Thank you. I've working so much in the last few months (7 days a week, 60+ hours) I've had no time for here.
But I bet you're way younger than me (43), youth is a gift! I miss being young!Amazing! I have some setlists but only from recently of course. New album news coming this week too
Aww that's true dedication, bless her! My mum was always very derogatory in my youth about my 'weird phase' and my fondness for 'weird men'. A phase that just so happened to last...for the rest of my lifeThank you. I've working so much in the last few months (7 days a week, 60+ hours) I've had no time for here.I'm worried I'll burn out, so I'm really trying to take some time out. Missed you lovely bunch loads and all the tea as well!
I'm loving your Mansun reference username by the way. I think I said that before. Also Paul Draper started randomly following me on my various socials a while back, even though I didn't already follow him!

My mum used to complain, "Why are all their songs so depressing, and about suicide!" Yet, she would take me to penpals to stay for gigs and let me have my penpals stay at ours too.
She and my then stepdad (who was Welsh) even took me to Blackwood when we went to visit his family in Neath. So she did humour me to be fair.
