I don’t doubt she gets lots of antisemitic abuse. She did when she was dismissive of Cadel Evans winning the Tour de France so it must be a million times worse after October 7 and Gaza.

I think she copped a lot of - I think justified- criticism because she wouldn’t acknowledge what was happening in Gaza and made a very off colour comment about ‘what should I do, send them flowers?’
For a podcast that purported to be what women were talking about, they refused to discuss it . And the pod descended into banal rubbish instead of interesting discussion (although that’s being generous)

It was the ‘flowers’ comment for me- which she rightly deserved backlash for. Which she still won’t acknowledge!
Mia Freedman is the classic boomer mum who refuses to take accountability when she says something even slightly wrong or offensive - "oh well I guess I'm just the worst person in the world and I'll never say anything ever again!"

It drives me mad how she says I love you to her subscribers at the end of every episode. It’s so insincere. TBH I didn’t miss her at all. I preferred Amelia Lester. Em Vernon people me a bit.

I actually started listening to MMOL again while she was absent. There is a completely different dynamic when she’s not there. It’s like when your boss is away or something. Everyone just feels a little bit more relaxed, and comfortable to say what they’re thinking or have an opinion without being challenged or told what they’re saying is wrong. I feel like everybody is a bit more themselves when she’s not present. She comes across as having a very dominating personality and always has to be the loudest person in the room.
