I’m officially done with MMOL. Mia’s (and the other two) blind view of the Israel/Palestinian conflict is just too much for me. I get that she is Jewish and of course the terror that has occurred is not justified and truly abhorrent and sickening. But the explanation of why this is happening was so lacking and blaming the perils of those who live in Gaza on Hamas and the Palestinians is so willfully blind, I just can’t cope. No mention of Israel’s expansion into another’s country, the killing of Palestinians by Israel for decades and the systematic destruction of an entire civilisation by Israel. Where does she think Hamas terrorists come from? From the very land that Israel resettled. The hypocrisy on this topic compared to when they talk about the Voice and the Russian invasion is just so dumb I have to presume that it’s intentional.

I listened and don’t agree with you at all. She sounded personally upset, and that’s ok. I find it very disturbing that people are excusing the bloodshed because Israel ‘deserves’ it. No civilian deserves this.

I’ve officially stopped listening. Too boring.

I realised I’d started skipping a lot of segments and just went nah. Not for me. They talk about the same things over and over again. It’s just not interesting anymore and it certainly isn’t ‘what women are talking about’ I’ve never heard anyone bring up 90s supermodels in their group chats

I listened to Tuesday’s subscriber ep yesterday and I couldn’t even tell you what it was about. So boring. Oh just remembered - networking. And why they hate it. Riveting I tell you. Made my drive home feel longer TBH. I hope they read here for some honest feedback and not that suck arse facebook group. The idea of raising money for Holly to see Gwyneth actually makes me feel sick.

I’ve seen clips of her talking about the rental crisis which she is not a victim of and now the dating apps which again she doesn’t have any recent experience of.

Mia's instababble crap today, she references Jessie's new novel as her 'first novel' multiple times.. awkward, considering Jessie's first novel, Heartsick was literally a NYT Bestseller. I think it must be criteria to work at MM to be sloppy with grammar, fact checking etc

Heartsick is narrative non fiction, so this is her first novel.

I did think it was rich that And Just Like That sponsors MMOL but their recap episodes are subscriber only.

I just watched it the last ep. Honestly it was absolutely trash. Literally nothing happens. Not once to they portray “Mia” as intellectual, intelligent, relatable, organised, displaying leadership qualities or just even being a genuine good person. It’s a shitshow, trainwreck of a series with next to no plot or character development. Up there with the worst series I’ve watched in a while. I think the entire premise was a bad choice to explore if they were going to portray a public persona. Would have been better off making it vague and digging deeper/ not worrying about a defamation suit. Yawn fest 5000. 0 stars. Don’t bother

I totally agree - she is not at all likeable and also the story is just not enjoyable or funny. It could have been done so well in a simile style to the bold type or the devil wears prada with the crew and money spent on it but it feels so undercooked. The plot is so lacking.
