What do you guys think of this? All the comments are telling her she is so driven and ambitious, basically blowing smoke up her a**, but i find it so contrived b/c Maddie is making a huge deal out of nothing as usual. I can't be the only one thinking this (hopefully lol)?

Oh my god she's so dramatic and out of touch. Everyone give her a round of applause because she booked her first (solo) trip in 6 months! She was so deprived and overworked. Like come on... She sells made-in-China plastic packing cubes & makes the odd sponsored post. Not exactly filling a gap in the market. She needs to get a grip.

Also had to laugh at the 'going back to my natural colour' hair posts then walked out of the salon looking almost exactly the same. Yet another childhood blonde who is deep in denial that their hair is really now dark blonde to light brown. She's gonna have more chunky regrowth in no time.

Well, her being skinny and blonde is 95% of her appeal for most people. She’s never going to go darker. I loved the comments under that initial video calling her out for the clickbait and delusion

I’ve not watched the full video but this reminds me of when she went to NY I think, and she posted a video saying she was born to be the eldest daughter who goes travelling and comes back to tell ‘unhinged’ stories, but she was on a boat trip that looked quite tourist friendly as part of a very tourist friendly trip, so thought she was trying too hard. All her travel seems very middle class and expensive, not much in the unhinged variety (not a bad thing but seemed fake and so out of touch)

Yay finally a thread about Maddie
One of my favorite videos of hers is this one from last year’s Valentine’s Day.

She’s so smug about her boyfriend getting her some supermarket flowers and sweets late at night, without realizing she’s praising his bare minimum. Valentine’s is on the same day every year, if he cared enough to get her something he could have done so at any point before the actual day. Anyway, I feel like this is her general attitude towards him though and she’s grateful he’s just around. When she came back from a four week trip to Australia and he didn’t even take two hours off to pick her up from the airport, I felt a tad bit sorry for her. But only for a moment.
And as a non-native English speaker I feel I can comment on her accent(s) and the way she can start a word in a British one and ends it sounding like she’s from the Midwest US she’s been clearly pushing it lately though and some words sound ridiculous tbh.

Omg yaasss I still remember this from when we talked about it on Niomi Smart's thread.

It really is so awkward how she's bragging about this.

Oh and I thought she talked weirdly rude to the lady at the pasta place where she got her bowl to takeaway.

Yeh her only friends seem to be other influencers,which I guess makes sense as who else of her age is living a similar life? I agree about being rude to the shop assistant, also of you can hear that someone obviously doesn't speak loads of English surely you speak in a more simple way. I bet the employees were annoyed at being filmed, I know I would be

I think she posted her uni friends before, they all looked like rich international students lol. Fitting I suppose, since that's the main demographic that can relate to her (i.e. privileged). But I imagine even these friends probably have real jobs and responsibilities can't just go gallivanting around the world whenever they please or just because they felt a bit down whilst recovering from a flu *eye roll*.

That's the impression I get too. Always exaggerates and makes things a WAY bigger deal than it actually is. I understand influencers need to do this to an extent but imo Maddie overdoes it (to the point where most things she says sound disingenuous). I remember the silly and frankly cringe-inducing video she made about changing her username from 'Macerly' to 'Maddie Borge', the way she went on made it seem like she was donating a kidney.

Also, re her packing cubes - she harps on about the fact that its ''recycled polyester'' and therefore ''sustainable'' but what about her massive carbon footprint? Feel like she will say/do anything for a brand deal, views, and a large paycheck. There is nothing genuine about her (like most influencers).

Also (slightly unrelated) but has anyone else noticed how Maddie refers to herself as a ''content creator'' and more recently as an ''entrepreneur'' rather than an influencer? She gives off the impression that she is too much of a ''business savvy boss girl'' to be an average influencer, and that she's somehow above influencing.

Her earlier attempts to make finance videos (despite the low views) and give financial advice always felt like she was trying a bit too hard. Like I hate to break it to you babes, but regurgitating the advice your accountant gives you doesn't make you a finance guru.
