Is McDonald an effing simpleton with that statement ?
The enquiry wasn’t a “ mini trial “ so he could go on with his mad ramblings so thank god she was refused as a CP.
It’s not best of three you Cupid stunt.

It's been a few days since I read it and I still can't get over Peter Hitchens suggesting none of the babies were murdered at all.

Why is he so obsessed with worshipping at Letby's feet? At this point it's creepy and delusional.

Bearing in mind he’s got a book to flog on Letby and her total innocence I thought I would put a name to the face of Christopher Morris and it seemed mean not to share so here he is in all his glory !

Oh my, thanks for sharing 🥲. Another unfortunate-looking character. He looks like Uncle Fester’s long lost cousin or brother here 🤣

I still say she didn’t give a toss about Dr noname/Deakin. It was more about getting one over on his wife and kids because she loved to wreck happy families.
I don’t understand why these weirdos think the inquiry should have been postponed until after any and every appeal process has been turned down. She was found guilty and it’s a fact. The families needed answers, why should they have to wait until the circus clowns have packed up and left town? Going on about “let’s just have a retrial and then we can be sure”. The jury was sure, 2 juries in fact. “Her defence was poor/the jury didn’t hear all the facts”- her defence had NOTHING to work with and seemingly couldn’t call any experts without incriminating her. What facts did the jury not hear that would’ve changed the verdict? As far as I have observed they weren’t told of several things that raised suspicion even more, and the “facts” they bleat on were missing are easily accounted for and not relevant. See, this is why I don’t post very often these days, I go on long rants about things we already know but when I recall them I get angry again!

Finally had a chance to read through Thirlwall's report in full.

  1. Mr Harvey then noted an issue around the rota allocation of medical and nursing staff on shifts before and when babies deteriorated, saying that there were a number of staff who appeared more frequently, and one member of staff in particular. The member of staff was said to be one of the unit’s highest trained staff. This was not accurate. Letby was an entry-level band 5 nurse, with a degree and QIS training. In fact, there were approximately seven band 5 nurses, all with degrees. Letby was one of two band 5 nurses with QIS training. The majority of nurses on the neonatal unit (approximately 18) were more senior, at band 6 level, all qualified to at least QIS standard. There were also a number of junior doctors.
This is it in a nutshell. Lucy wasn't an exceptional nurse. She was in fact, one of the least qualified on the unit, shouted at senior staff and ignored orders to stay with her patients, and had also previously made a serious error. And yet she somehow had COCH completely in her pocket - to the point they were planning to manage out 2 long serving consultants who they knew came under the whistleblowing policies - because they’d noted they needed to figure out how to get around them!

Utter madness.

Yeah but her dad came in and shouted at them and the CEO was scared of him - a few dead babies is nothing compared to a shouty middle-aged man, right?

Listening to the 2 eps of the Trial podcast about the inquiry and it was all I could do not to shout out loud on the Tube.

I believe - and has been proven by the court - that Letby is guilty. But even if she wasn't, that hospital should have been moving heaven and earth to understand why such an unusually large number of babies were unexpectedly dying or collapsing (the important word is unexpected - the whole point is that these were unusual incidents in babies that were otherwise stable, even though vulnerable and unwell).

There seems to be a failure from people to understand that fully suspending a nurse in this situation actually protects innocent nurses too. Lady Thirlwall calls it a neutral act. If Letby supporters really believe she’s innocent then they too should be supporting Thirlwall’s identitied missed opportunities, because by their theory, if Letby had been taken off the ward sooner, then the later babies would have still come to harm, proving their precious nurse wasn’t involved at all. I obviously don’t believe that but that should be their logic. But they actually just believe Letby should never have been removed at all because of Big Bad Bullies. Proving how idiotic they all actually are. Suspending an innocent nurse would protect her from false accusations too.

Her dad wanted it referring to the police to prove her innocence - except Lucy said no!

What on earth have I just read

A hospital boss altered a review into baby deaths to make it appear that two infants murdered by Lucy Letby had died of natural causes, a public inquiry has found.

Ian Harvey, 68, changed the document without the knowledge of its “shocked” author before using it to mislead the board at Countess of Chester Hospital into allowing the former neonatal nurse back onto the ward.

Did I miss this part initially because wow, just wow!

Where did you read that? It explains the perverting the court of justice arrest then!

I keep meaning to look up if Lady Thirlwall had anything to say about the involvement of Letby’s parents.
