Nope I’m not but I know who I would and wouldn’t want looking after vulnerable babies. Perhaps you shouldn’t have used it as a defence for Letby when the specific scenario we were talking about was exactly that for baby K. An extremely vulnerable baby that couldn’t breathe for themselves with the breathing support dislodged. So we aren’t talking about an ok time to see if a baby self corrects. Hope that helps.

Have I used it as defense? Just an explanation as to why she may not have intervined.
I've said all along I'm not 100% sure she's guilty. Not that she's 100% innocent

She has been convicted of murdering those poor babies when their deaths may have been due to poor medical care, poor nursing care, professionals working outside their scope of practice. So she was blamed yes, Found responsible and put away for life. Which is where she will likely remain.
Again, like I have said so many times I'm not convinced she's innocent but I'm not 100% convinced she's guilty.

I also think she’s a deeply troubled individual.
I am glad you don’t keep handover sheets, It’s really not normal behaviour.
if you genuine believe that the babies died not as result of murder, was Lucy just very unlucky to be there for every occasion.
When is a coincidence no longer one…
Everyone of course entitled to opinion and that’s fine but remember she’s had 2 jury trials ( and they have sat through all the evidence for months ), 2 appeals been rejected and she did have a very good KC for her defence. So are all these judges that looked at the evidence wrong too as well as the jury that sat through it all and gave up their time.

That's just it. Was she extremely unlucky or is she guilty? I've never said anyone is wrong I'm just Personally not 100% convinced she's guilty.

If you're trying to go down the "oh the doctors are covering up" line you can forget it. This conspiracy theory disintegrates under the gentlest of scrutiny. Professionally, financially, legally or otherwise the doctors were under no jeopardy as a result of the unit deaths.

That's not true though.

With his executive roles plus 400+ papers, where on earth did he get the time for clinical practice?

have a look on pubmed for yourself. Someone publishing that actively usually has collaborators who share the work of getting the paper to publication. It’s rare to ever publish original research as a solo author. I published last year with someone who has 350+ articles, he works actively for the NHS but is a workaholic who devotes his life to his specialism. These people aren’t clocking in 9-5 work.
Quality/quantity comment - that is the purpose of peer review.

She brought a big bag for life to work, she could have quickly taken the bag of fluids and insulin vials to the toilet and contaminated them there. The insulin isn't a controlled drug and the fridge didn't need an ID badge to open. She liked to work nights when it was quiet. She could pace a syringe full of air in her pocket and wait until no one was looking. There not really difficult crimes to commit.

Insulin isn't a controlled drug no but everything is double checked as I said the fridges are locked and need a key. The cupboards are locked too.
There was no evidence insulin was going missing. As for taking a bag for life onto the unit, putting fluid and insulin in and taking it off to the toilet I'm sorry I cannot see how she did that without being noticed.

Hardly lack of balance. Some questions there is no answer for and as none of us knew Letby personally who the hell can say. Psychopaths don't need a motive. Most of the Letby dribblers on X have very minimal knowledge of medical matters and it really shows.

She isn't a psychopath, nor a sadist, not a narcissist, or machiavellian.

Now it becomes a far more interesting question.

Yes, if sedated and the tube was poorly secured the tube could have slipped or could move on repositioning.
They can and do move unfortunately. There are various fixing devices some better than others.

Not thinking people that excuse the behaviours of a serial killer of neonates should be nursing isn’t controversial imo. It actually makes me feel sick.

I've not excused anything i have said i can see alternative causes and I'm not 100% convinced.
