Ah yes I forgot the key marker of all serial killers is that they have a tribute wall of serial killers displayed. What a dumb take.

Ah @O'lee you we’re sooooo good
I’ve just got to him mentioning the Lee Cooper Leisure Suit 🥲🤣 bravo @O'lee 👏🏼 did it take all your concentration to say Nick Johnson instead of BNE?
honestly this is an amazing episode and such an antidote to all the absolute fuckwits spouting their bullshit! 💕

Oh please pass on how much I love these ladies 💕 the lovely nurses 💕 this is so refreshing. THIS should be the conversation. It’s what she actually did. Ten months of evidence.

ahh @O'lee now you’ve made me cry with your last bit 💕👏🏼 beautiful words. You should all be so so proud, you’ve added the most wonderful perspective and such important points to the conversation. This will be listened to be by so many people.

I suppose it’s no surprise really. It’s her one and only shot. I’m intrigued to know under what grounds. Court of appeal might not even accept it.

Please don’t do this, my husband and kids don’t deserve to lose their mum. I apologise for any offence or stress I may have accidentally caused you. It’s a big misunderstanding, you know I love you bro. What do you say huh? #squashthebeef #plzdontprosecute

Interesting a few posts on twitter said she should have lost her right to appeal due to not attending the sentencing.

i Know they’ve made it where they have to attend but I’d definitely think that’s a fair trade off - you have to be present for all the verdicts and the sentencing otherwise you aren’t allowed to appeal. They’d all come up then

Someone I know said to me today, “oh I do feel a bit sorry for that Lucy Letby, she had diagnosed schizophrenia and couldn’t get any medical help for it and she was sexually abused by her dad as a child.”

Where do people get this shit from??

Why would Lucy try to cover her tracks by killing four consultants when she couldn't even be bothered throwing the post it note confessing to killing on purpose.
A really good way to get away with serial killing is to just kill absolutely everyone around you at any given moment. People get suspicious, kill em. Police interview you, kill em. Judge trying to sentence you? Kill them. Sorted! Next stop, cat sanctuary in Spain 😎 easy! If Lucy was really guilty, this is how it would have played out.

They should only let her appeal on the basis she has to sit and listen to all the victim impact statements. Then refuse her appeal. Off you fuck.

I bet Ben wonders why he bothered studying and training for nearly decade when he could have became a legal eagle twitter expert for the price of broadband each month so he could excuse his rantings on X and do his research on YouTube rather than westlaw and lexis, both respected databases used by legal EXPERTS.
If I had £1 for everytime a client told me I was wrong because they’d googled it/their friend’s cousin did A Level law/that’s not what they said on *insert dubious YouTube/twitter account…I’d never need to work again

(ps happy to be wrong sometimes (through gritted teeth obvs) butyou’d be surprised how common it is to assume that the professional they are literally paying must be wrong)

Oh he's an absolute moron
---

I've just read a stat that said only 3% of appeals are successful. Does that sound about right? And could she try to appeal more than once anyone know?
Yup that sounds about right, maybe a smidge higher but it's super low. I don't agree with the overall system tbh but that's another story ha.

So what's happened is that Lucifer's legal team have submitted an application to request for an appeal to the court of appeal, they will have included a like skeleton argument of their reasoning for requesting to appeal. It's the court of appeals criminal division that will deal with it, they look for reasons such as mistakes or misconduct of the judge, disclosure issues between prosecution and defense, poor representation of the defendant at trial, any misconduct or mistakes made in trial, any jury bias or hoohar like inconsistent verdicts (possibly their only straw in the game but nowhere near enough for these strictos)... they don't play about though the court of appeals and they want PROOF proof, like they won't just accept something because it's an assumption, they're strict af. The main thing that they look for though is fresh evidence that proves the verdicts unsafe - which isn't gonna happen.
So then they will go over the request and if they deny your request to appeal then you can once more attempt to renew your application - you have to request to appeal again and there one or two more judges will join the decision making. If you get denied that time then you're fucked basically and have to pay loads of court costs to the COA and you might even get more time added to your sentence (unless undeniable evidence comes to light and it goes through a gazillion hoops)
If an application request is granted, then the defendants legal team will present their case in full to the court of appeal where they will decide - bare in mind if you're appealing a conviction then the OG prosecution is required to go to the COA and present a case against you in front of the high court judges... if you're just appealing your sentence then it's just the judges.

But yah, more chance of the moon falling out of the sky right now and it landing in my shoe than Letby getting any appeal.

God I can ramble can't I?

They think that members of the group who insist Lucy is guilty must have been on the jury and they’re going to tell the police and get her out on a mistrial 😂😂😭😭😭

You’d think someone would tell the Neonatal charities this information wouldn’t you? Because they’re publishing figures like “95% survival rate” at 31 weeks and they must be wrong if Chris on facebook says.
Chris is a thicko. Most survive. We've not had a death for over a year, were a level 2 unit with 18 cots and take from 27 weeks.

I expected she would. Hopefully they’ll throw her appeal out with the rubbish. There’s no way she’ll win but it’s just more grief for the parents and families of the children isn’t it? Rubbing salt in their wounds.

No wonder Bens sat drinking in a bar on a Friday night, drowning his sorrows cause old Angelia on facey thinks he’s shit at defence 💀
Whenever I hear the whole "what we're the defence doing!? They were so shit at their jobs" I literally want to bang my head off a wall!!!

Ffs, the defence didn't have much to work with and they did an excellent job right up to the point where little miss superiority complex took the stand and undid all their hard work. That wasn't Ben's fault, Letby was just so used to being able to convice the brain dead morons she picked as friends of anything she thought she could do the same to the jury and court.

There were no expert witnesses put on the stand for her defence because none of the expert witnesses findings backed her up in any way so how could they go on the stand for her defence!? unless these people expect people to go on the stand and lie?? Only Letby was comfortable doing that and that's because she doesn't have a conscience.

What kind of defence do people expect an obviously guilty person to have!??? This is real life, not a TV show or movie.

I've literally just read in that scienceletby Reddit someone say that Myers "used the first trial to see if any, what convictions would stick" and it was all a big plan for the appeal courts where he will bring new evidence and challenge Dr Evans... "that's why the defense was so hostile to the offers of help" 😂😂😂😂😂

Norrrr honestly man.

People think Judge Goss was harsh, wait until they learn about appeal court judges 😂
