I’m here, the last 10 days have been the strangest of my life. My heads all over I’m not intentionally ignoring, I go away tmoro night (so will miss sentencing 💔) and haven’t packed a single thing. I promise I’ll be back when I’m there and got head around things. She’s a psychopath- I have no doubts- I hope she suffers everyday of her life… the hurt she’s caused I’m struggling to comprehend…

I don’t doubt she’s manipulative but I think you are giving her a bit too much credit with just how clever she is. Certainly no more than Allitt or Shipman. She got caught at age 25? 26? And we know it should have been at least a year earlier had the trust not just ignored the consultants. We don’t know if they were taken in by her or if there was other stuff going on and they had other motives to just ignore what she was doing. The consultants caught on pretty quick that she was the common denominator. She didn’t have them fooled.

How long do they think Shipman was committing his crimes for before getting caught?
Phew thank god for this. Brains of Britain couldn’t fucking spell embolism. Or draw. 😅😅😅 it seems to have been a perfect storm that kept her from being uncovered fairly swiftly after the first three babies. She was manipulative for sure but I see no evidence at all of a super intellectual.

right deep breath 😉🥴

I am still struggling to catch up with you all! What a very strange and surreal day yesterday was. Like so many of you have felt, it’s very different to how I imagined. I cried, every interview and article made me tearful. Hid it from the kids but so grateful to have had my wonderful Mum with me, who would have fit in very well here with us and knew this was a done deal from day dot!

I felt sickened that it’s all so bloody real now. Numb. I also just wanted to be Mum. To my beautiful babes having a blast on holiday. To my darling little late June 2016 7 year old, so happy and full of beans in the pool. Eating his body weight in pizza. It’s such a glorious age. Every piece of my heart breaks knowing that those little babies should be happy children having fun right now. Not only that but it’s so senseless and horrendously cruel how they were taken. For some foul beast’s sick game. I’ve always felt this is the cruelest crime imaginable and reading/hearing some of the parents’ own words yesterday only drilled that home. I didn’t know or perhaps had let it slip my mind, that baby F was another child left with complex needs now 💔 it’s unthinkable what they’ve been through. Horrifying.

I would really appreciate not being told off for the next opinion. Please know that I say it with utmost sympathy for the jury and everything they’ve been through. They will all be changed forever, I feel desperately sorry for them.
But I am mad. Really fucking angry for the babies that didn’t get justice. Reading this
IMG_6005.jpeg

it sounds to me like this is when many jurors were distressed. There were probably many that really really wanted to return guilty on all and had understood the instruction properly (agree wholeheartedly with you @IdeletedbutI'mbackagain 💕 as usual).
I’m sorry but to accept unanimously Letby was capable of causing car crash like injuries on baby O and then NOT SEE that she was then capable to kill his brother the next day (yes only one juror but jeez!). If she could do that to a baby then she was surely capable of anything. It’s baffling and yeah I’m going to say it - I think quite frankly it’s moronic (don’t @ me please! Leave you little angry reactions if you must✌).
@Tofino I share your upset and frustration completely with all the hung and NG verdicts. I actually did a deep dive on baby H and wrote a long (shocker) post about it late one night but never hit send. I don’t need it explaining from a legal sense about those trickier ones, I don’t need an explanation on burden of proof or circumstantial evidence. The whole fucking point was that they inform each other. If she was capable of poisoning (yes this was intention to kill, she knows that better than anyone), of causing horrendous bleeding, of liver lacerations - the idea she did that and didn’t do others is totally idiotic imo. How could the intention to kill not be there for baby Q when we know she’s killed two babies in as many days and she had wanted to kill three. How could anybody think, that after killing so many babies by filling them with air and liquid, that she wasn’t intending to do anything other than kill that baby or wasn’t distinctly aware that her actions could easily kill baby q. She caused him a life threatening situation and walked out that fucking room. That child almost had an operation they didn’t need and has brain damage, I hate seeing baby Q’s case downplayed.

I’m relieved the pros intend to go after the hung verdicts, damn right they should. It will hurt them deeply that they didn’t get the right result on those. But to think that any of the families have to go through this AGAIN and that they can’t close this chapter- it’s haunting. Yes I’m sure there’s comfort in that she’s not getting out ever and hopefully comfort in knowing that everyone with a brain can see she hurt their babies exactly how the prosecution said she did. But to start again and go through the courts again, hear all the evidence again- it’s a total travesty. I hope the poor jurors that clearly wanted to give them justice don’t dwell on it and can feel proud of their part in securing her never seeing freedom again. To the poster that knows a family that didn’t get their justice- I don’t know if there is a way to express to them, that everybody knows what she did and everybody considers their baby just as worthy of justice as all the poor other souls. We all know the truth and the general public, with brains and hearts, wish them so much love and strength to get through the next phase of this nightmare.

The extent of the true cover up in this case is mind blowing. Awful. Whilst I’m a little frustrated that it appears that side to the story is already getting more attention than the murderous cunt, I do totally agree they need to face the proper consequences.

have to add to all the love too. Can no longer see as I type so sorry if even more incoherent than usual. I am just so grateful to have had this space with you all. For a whole host of reasons, we’ve all found ourselves captured with this awful case and desperate for justice for the families and babies. The warmth and empathy here is something to behold and feel proud of. This thread has put warm virtual arms around so many when it was needed. And the laughs- good god you are all so bloody funny. The joke has always been on her or on us. It was extremely cathartic for me to see her taken down and reduced to nothing but a sick evil joke of a creature. Especially, as @gigilouxx so accurately points out, as a narc it would totally eat her up inside and I’m grateful it winds up the little freaks that defend and excuse the beige beast. Read it and weep suckers ✌💕
I have to say a little bit of special love to the OGs, the queen Toffeepops you deserve all the praise and credit in the world for your contribution, my beloved medical experts @docmum and @Haveyouanywool thank you a million times- you amaze me 💕 @OldBlondie 😭 it’s happened girl- she’s gone 💕, @LittleMy I loved your takes and gifs even when you had to check on the thread and walk straight out again, probably because of my antics 🫣 thanks for forgiving me 🤣💕 , @Daisydunn15 and @slingo16 thanks for accepting our differences and overcoming all the tense moments and adding greatly to the discussion. So many others @Windowtothewall you’ve analysed things spectacularly.
To all the lovely NICU mums that brought so much insight @stardust1 ohThankyou (sorry can’t remember exact @) @IdeletedbutI'mbackagain - you made me see how strong the babies really are. They had every chance in the world. I feel bettered as a person for understanding what you all went through.
@gigilouxx @Lucyxxxx @DellaC i’ve genuinely cried laughing at your posts on so many occasions. It has helped so much. You’re all incredible. @DellaC i know I speak for everyone when I say we all bloody wish we knew you in real life 🤣 as warm as you are funny.
To all the lovely newbies that fit straight in and brought a breath of fresh air into the threads- too many to mention! I’m so glad @Tofino let you all in 🤣💕
To all the warriors, that have been going through such hard times, grief, diagnosis, stresses and upheavals - it’s all been so human and so much empathy shown. To our court reporters- thank you 💕

We have something Letby will never ever have. The ability to relate, emote and connect. It’s what life is. The ability to feel, care and show it. There is so much more good in this world than evil and you are all proof of that.
There are so many incredible people I will have failed to mention there and sorry it’s getting a bit fucking Gwyneth at the Oscars now. Did you expect anything less than 🥴😑
Lastly (promise), although I am not religious at all, the churches in Italy are the most beautiful in the world and they’re very befitting for these sweet babies, I’m going to visit the most spectacular one before I leave and light candles for them.
Stay strong. I’ll keep reading and catching up as much as I can xxxx

Jealousy. Jealousy towards her colleagues, towards parents. I think those babies have been murdered in a narc rage
In a few texts she moans about not being with the more poorly children, then seconds later there’s a crash and she’s in the room. She’s killed them in temper, the most vulnerable, people like her never go for anyone who would talk back. Weasel of the highest count

Also sympathy and attention, she wants to be thought of as the poor soul who’s witnessing all this yet still eager to come to work whilst all her colleagues crumble and get upset. On the texts to NN “makes me wonder if I’m good enough” cue response if you’re amazing, you’re so strong, you’re the best nurse. In her texts the only time she shows any emotion is for herself, what she wants, what she’s witnessed all to garner everyone blowing smoke up her arse and unbeknownst to them, indulging her further

Don’t fuck with me when it comes to narcissists 😂😂😂 I’m like a sniffer dog on em

I am convinced her motive was attention. She was so used to being the center of parents world and doted upon throughout her life. I think that she got a taste for a different type of attention, the sympathies of her colleagues for having been the designated nurse for a baby who died, it would all be omg poor Lucy, do you need time off, you handled it so well etc...and she liked it, she's back being the center of attention, then I think the motive changed toward the end, and my mind was FIRMLY set on guilty having sat on the fence through a lot of it, she wanted the attention of the doctor she was seeing, or fancied whatever it was, but the turning point for me was this.....the day they had been texting each other both while working, she was saying to him how crap it was that he was working in another part of the hospital that day, a crash call suddenly comes, he arrives with a female doc and then they sort the prob, the doctor leaves with the female doctor for a coffee break and the kettle hadn't finished boiling before another crash call was put out for the baby in LLs "care". That for me was what sealed it. She done it for attention.

I don’t believe dr NN at all. He left her chocolates, offered her his car, drove her home, went for walks with her, went for meals alone with her and even a day trip to London. Messaged her for hours on end. It was a reciprocal emotional affair in the very least. I’ve come across men like him in the workplace. He may never have been serious about her but he certainly indulged the attention and the whole thing probably excited him.

I also think he should tell his kids before someone else does. There may be reporting restrictions but too many people will know who he is. His kids may even figure out eventually too. They deserve to hear it from him but I’m guessing honesty and integrity is not his strong point.

Dawn on Panorama, I am not sure why the fuck she is on this deluded. Just because you hung out with Lucifer and went to school with her means absolutely nothing. Zilch. Given that serial killers can hide everywhere and hide their crimes from their own bloody spouses, it will have been easy for Lucy to not drop clues. The Dawns of this world are really bloody stupid.
She’s the kindest person I’ve ever known” Jesus woman, dread to imagine the lesser kind people you are referring to in your life.
Dawn's other pals are Fred West, Josef Fritzl, and Kim Jong Un.

I do agree in general that mangers should be from a clinical background, same for care homes or any other care provision. However in this particular case there were managers from clinical backgrounds who also didn't care.
Thats true. But chief executives are bean counters This guy seems like a right spiv charlatan.

I gave my now 13 year old 25 week 1lb preemie extra hugs last night. The thought of some bitch deliberately shoving instruments down her throat, or crushing her liver manhandling her is too horrific. Her eyes were sealed, she couldnt cry all she could do was grimace and I could see when she was in pain.
Every day for the 16 weeks she was in NICU i drove home sobbing but trusting the staff. After all we dont have a choice

Just finished Panorama - actually feel a bit broken. I’ve spent most of the afternoon crying on and off and seeing Dr Breary cry has finished me off.

That poor man has the devastation etched into his face - this is a man who cares deeply for the children he cares for and the profession he works in and my god did he fight to protect it. Him and Dr Jayram are absolute heroes, they kept fighting despite the threat of their careers over their heads.

There will definitely be massive change in hospital governance after this particularly around whistleblowing and reporting and I agree with a poster on the last thread about having some sort of professional registration and competency model in place for exec teams and board members.

God love those babies, parents and all the staff and investigation team who fought tirelessly to get them justice.

Sharing again as thread closed, interview with Dr Ravi for anyone who hasn’t seen it. Quite detailed on the grievance compared to other interviews I’ve watched regarding the matter. Utterly heartbreaking what he states at the end 😞

The letter of apology is mental. And I don't care how much I was threatened with being reported to the the GMC, I wouldn't have signed it.

Why were they frightened to be reported to the GMC??? What did they have to hide???

Yes, she was hiding in plain sight. Yes, the consultants tried to do something. Yes they were thwarted by hospital managers.

But honestly - they had the ultimate duty of care towards of all of the patients in their care. No wonder they look shell shocked cos they know they played a part in this tradegy. And no doubt will be named in the compensation claims!!!
The GMC investigation process is utterly vile to the point that people kill themselves during it. There is a significant racism problem within the GMC as well, so Dr Ravi in particular was at risk.

Imagine the consultants had phoned the police. The police pitch up to the ward, the hospital execs say that no it’s a vexatious complaint, the police don’t get full cooperation with their investigation. It is far better to have the hospitals buy in.

And on top, to blame the consultants of this is fucking disgusting of you. Fucking weirdo.

Bet loads of people start reading them now, the amount of shit we've spoke too 😬
Some poor intern at the Mail is currently trawling through 60 threads of penis chat, death row meals and M&S shopping lists trying to pull out the gems worth including in a story

Taken from the Telegraph.

She said it herself. So of course the prosecution were going to pick up on it....its a LIE, we've all seen the video. She said it at the beginning of the trial to get sympathy.

I think Nick was quite right to quash it and support the police officers who have worked tirelessly to get the evidence on this bitch. And quite frankly @Dr.CM how bloody dare you try to tarnish those police officers who have dedicated hours on this case and without them we wouldn't be where we are. Shame on you.

MAY I SUGGEST THAT PEOPLE DO RESEARCH BEFORE THEY POST THEIR UTTER BULLSHIT THEORIES. THE INFORMATION IS OUT THERE. ITS ALSO WITHIN THESE THREADS BECAUSE WE DISCUSSED IT IN DETAIL AT THE TIME.

I’ve really struggled to find the words to express my thoughts on the verdicts. I’ve followed this case since the trial started, lived and breathed it. This thread has been the first thing I’ve checked when I woke up, and the last thing I read before bed. I haven’t always posted a lot recently but I have read every single post on every thread. There’s been times I’ve done barely any work because I’ve been trying to catch up, times I’ve sat and cried for the babies, or cried for you guys, times I’ve laughed until it hurt (to clarify for any newbies - at weekends, down times, definitely not at the babies or their families), times I’ve turned to this thread for support and times I’ve had to log off because I thought I was going to lose my shit in frustration at trying to make people understand the evidence. Together we’ve celebrated births, mourned losses, grieved loved ones, shared stories of our lives. Most importantly we’ve formed bonds as we unpicked the evidence and fought for the truth to be heard and understood for these precious babies and their amazing families. I am so proud of everyone who has been involved in these threads and tried to help people understand the evidence, pointed out the contradictions, the lies, the truth. I’ve been in awe of some of the professionals who’ve helped us understand the medical jargon, or those who have become experts on every baby and patiently explained over and over why she had to be guilty. The wiki has been a fantastic resource for not only tattlers but half the internet! You’re all amazing.

Whilst I have firmly believed that monster is guilty since day one, seeing the guilty verdict in black and white has shaken me. It’s made it all very real. It’s no longer words on a screen, it’s real. It’s everywhere. The families voices are being heard, people are telling their stories. This evil woman murdered or attempted to murder tiny neonates, for no reason. It’s beyond comprehension. I just don’t understand WHY?! I feel so sad for the families that didn’t get justice yesterday and are left with more questions, more uncertainty, left wondering if they’ll have to go through it all again to get justice for their sweet babies. And I am utterly heartbroken for the families that had it confirmed that that evil woman deliberately killed or harmed their beautiful bundles of joy. And not only did she kill them, she has tainted their final memories of them. I’ve spoken before about how special the nurses who cared for my nephew after he died were, how their love and kindness will stick with my family forever. To have all that destroyed is so evil. They have nothing to take comfort from. Their final moments with their babies were with their murderer by their side. She is the sickest of the sick.

I went and sat with my nephew at his forever bed last night and sobbed my heart out for those precious babies. Me and my boyfriend lit a candle in the baby garden and sat remembering them all.

We played this song at his funeral, and I listened to it again yesterday. I hope those gorgeous babies are flying free now that justice has been served for them.

https://youtu.be/S2uC_ODp-Dc

I hope Letby rots.

Love to you all. I hope everyone is holding up ok. I’m sure we will all still be here in the coming days, weeks and months to support each other through whatever is to come. They did it guys, they got her 🩷🩵

I’ve been a silent reader of this thread for the past several months but after reading this line in a BBC article felt compelled to post:

“Since Letby left the hospital's neonatal unit, there has been only one death in seven years.”

I had no idea there were so few deaths on a neonatal ward in normal circumstances. I hope she rots.

Speaking of detectives.. are we allowed to mention how fit DSI Hughs is yet? It is the weekend after all.
When I went to court he was there and ended up opening the door to let me in and out of the courtroom quite a few times. He made a joke about that being his job, I told him he looked way too important for that and all the other police found it hilarious. So yeah, I was flirting with him first 😍

Unless you have a personal understanding, through working in the NHS, of how whistleblowers are treated you should pipe the fuck down blaming the consultants tbh.

This article made me sick this morning. His pathetic excuse of a statement. And the fact he’s been allowed to bounce about jobs considering he had to leave COCH after a vote of no confidence. Utter wanker

yep. So part of the reason behind my complete inability to function last night was realising I had worked in a trust of which he was the CEO, in the time since her first arrest. I was all over the place in general last night, couldn’t eat, didn’t want any alcohol in celebration, couldn’t concentrate on anything on tv, couldn’t sleep despite not sleeping the night before and being exhausted. But then knowing he had been my CEO after what he did to the others involved in this case made me feel dirty, deceived, manipulated and ashamed by the NHS in general. Interestingly when you Google him, LL tattle thread 23 comes up at the bottom of the page and I had a good reread of it, it’s unreal how much ‘between the lines’ we had worked out about the cover-ups even back then in March. (Made me laugh as it’s also when @OldBlondie messaged Dan and called him Adam 🤣 and there’s a little chat about how the trial would probably last until the end of May 🫠)

I will watch panorama over the weekend, I just can’t at the moment. Stand out points for me from what I’ve read last night have included
- lucifer had a comfort blanket in the dock. I mean… what?!
- baby L/M’s parents had 2 YEARS of not knowing anything about what she did before they were dragged in to this hell
- some of the jurors had sobbed yesterday because they couldn’t return a verdict on those specific charges, and this haunted me all evening. I hope they have support and counselling considering they are bound legally from being allowed to discuss the case and their feelings around it openly. I hope they know what heroes they are for their service - I worry that some of them will take it negatively that they didn’t return a verdict for all.

Feeling a little less shell shocked this morning but still super emotional. I’m sorry for losing my shit with the troll, I shouldn’t have lowered myself to his level but the blatant disrespect for the babies was too much yesterday. I tried to channel my inner @MmmB777 but in my rage I definitely didn’t do her justice.. (MmmBop I miss you but I ‘know’ you are finding this incredibly hard and are moving through things in your own way, thinking of you and sending my love).
