That book has been around so long, my kids loved it and they are now in their late 20s, 30s and 40s, I googled and see it was first published in 1983.Hairy Mclary from Donaldson Dairy 🫠

It is, I never tired of reading that one with them.Oh wow I didn’t realise it was so old! Lovey book.
Not me but I’m getting increasingly broody, I may have to go and get the implant/coil, I feel relying on good old condoms is a dangerous game just nowCongratulations!! Hope it goes smoothly and is a breeze.
Anyone left in this thread who hasn't recently fell pregnant? At this rate we'll have Slingo popping up feeling sick and having to take a test.
It’s my go to holiday drink tooPina colada is my go to holiday drink.
My afternoon drinking go-to is a fruity gin with lemonade or a cocktail.
Never heard of Stanley! Mine seems to know I hate Meg & Mog books, so always wants them - the stories always just END. Never any resolution to whatever shenanigans they’ve got up to, they just stop midway and fly home. Winds me up. Used to love them as a kid so wonder if my mother was equally pissed off reading themLove Julia Donaldson unfortunately my kid is obsessed with Stanley - the most boring rodent in existence. Has anyone else come across these books? He asks me to read them over and over again and I do as I love reading to my kids but god they are dull.
I LOVE the OG Slinky Malinki book, but we don’t have any of the doggo onesHairy Mclary from Donaldson Dairy 🫠
Congratulations! Lovely news. Good luck on the health drive, I’m sure you can have a little treat once in a while. The book arrived and I gave it to him and he asked me if I was definitely pregnant then (the 2 tests say I am!) and he was like “bleeping hell”but we have been planning this so not a complete surprise! He said he thought I was because of how I’ve been this week. Also means that his McDonald’s last night is his last one for 9 months because he promised he would eat well with me.
I don’t drink so that’s fine, I’m more concerned about how I’m going to survive without Dominos, McDonalds and Starbucks for 9 months! I need my chicken nuggets!
Oo I love a Julia Donaldson book. Classics! We’ve got way too many books here as I can’t resist a good old charity shop or car boot sale bargainHairy Mclary from Donaldson Dairy 🫠
Congratulations - lovely news xGood morning lads so turns out I’ve been living off toast and ginger biscuits this week because I’m actually pregnant with my first! Ordered a book of dad jokes last night that should arrive today, and that will be how my husband finds out! So happy but also absolutely shitting myselfI thought a microwave safe pot also meant it would be safe on the hob and melted the bottom of it and now I’m gonna be responsible for a person?!?!?!!
My kids loved the Hairy McClairy books too & I used to love reading them to themThat book has been around so long, my kids loved it and they are now in their late 20s, 30s and 40s, I googled and see it was first published in 1983.

A margarita, made with cointreau, no ice cubes or slush puppy ones either.....not that I'm fussy...If we were all at the bar now. Saturday afternoon tattle drinks. What would you order?
Silly thought but red wine and most alcohol is super high in histamine. I’ve got severe histamine intolerance and it always sets me off! So does any kind of aged or fermented food, spinach, chocolate, coffee, avocado, nuts, feesh and dairy so they might be worth looking into.Red wine, morning noon and night for me!
We've had a fun day - Mr J woke me at 7, covered with hives all round his stoma/hernia site, and lips swollen like the worst trout pout ever.
Gave him antihistamine and paracetamol, called 111. Condition improved, got call back from very sensible nurse about 1.30 - keep going, if breathing a problem then ambulance/A&E. Cannot imagine what caused it, but at least it's improving. Fingers xd.
Delighted for you Jolly, absolutely fab news to brighten up a deary wet Saturday evening. I can’t wait to hear Daddy’s reaction when he find out. You will have Gigilou to keep you company, it’s brilliant!Good morning lads so turns out I’ve been living off toast and ginger biscuits this week because I’m actually pregnant with my first! Brilliant, I love it, it’s so so exciting!!love that he will do healthy eating in solidarity with you. You can still have your chicken nuggets as a treat if you fancy them. The book arrived and I gave it to him and he asked me if I was definitely pregnant then (the 2 tests say I am!) and he was like “bleeping hell”but we have been planning this so not a complete surprise! I’m the exact same as you Della, it goes right to my head during the day and then I want to go to sleep.Ohhh I can't drink in the afternoon very well....goes straight to my head! I did one of those bottomless brunches with my girlie's after lockdown and I had to be picked up by my husband about 3pm and I spewed up in his beloved car
There's nothing more lovely than drinking a glass of wine in the sun though....but nowadays I have to have a water chaser or I'm piddled![]()
Absolutely adore my red wine in the evening or on a Sunday during the afternoon with dinner - heaven!!MeI'm two definitely done.

Prosecco or a pint of lager. I like fizzy stuff for day time drinking or red wine for evening drinking.
