Indeed it is.
Having said that I do remember in an Ashes test a few years ago Steve Waugh was fielding very close to the bat (probably short leg) and the England batter whacked it straight into his nether regions. All the (male) commentators on Test Match Special made a noise as if they had also been simultaneously smacked in the knackers. Anyway they were all speculating as to how painful it must have been while the Australian physio came onto the field to administer the magic sponge or whatever. Just before play restarted dear old Brian Johnstone quipped "And off goes Waugh to deep third man to lick his wounds" at which the whole commentary box collapsed into fits of childish giggles.
Ah yes, cricket on the radio![]()
