I agree - It's hard sometimes wondering whether to comment or not as we are all the newbies but for those of us who have been reading the threads for so long, I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels like I know you all. You have all been so lovely, welcoming and inclusive though

I honestly could vote guilty on all charges without looking at the materials or rehashing the entire bundle. I always thought the materials are there for them if you have questions, or folks on the panel who are visual learners that simply must hold the paper themselves and re-read it themselves (there are people like this - at least one on every job that watched the same powerpoint as everyone else, but had to print it out themselves - no offense to any like this). Or you have points of contention that must be reviewed and discussed. I have never understood it to mean each juror must read everything in the entire bundle again. I always viewed it as the info is right there if recall for events is different, etc. Obviously your legal system is different than ours in the US, but it would seem a tremendous burden on jurors to have to go over all 4,000 pages. My mother could never manage it - she was never a reader and likely had some attention deficit. Personally, I’d love to look at those materials but no way would I keep the parents waiting for justice while I read them all. The case has already been tried, with all evidence and testimony in the presence of each one of them.

This is a fair observation. I mostly hide in the 'off topic' section, straying off to find out who the bbc presenter was has reminded me why! That said, I love reading a thread like the BBC one and @Lucyxxxx pops up with a random, funny rhyme and her kind face profile pic. I can only imagine what the people who don't have the LL thread context think about it

You guys are lovely, this is one of the only threads that I've seen where the people seem empathetic.
