How come Lucy is able to rent in, I presume the city, for college, allowed to repaint the place and able to afford it it is baffling

She always seems to land with her bum in the butter. I remember her saying she was looking for a place for her and her dogs

Mature students get a weekly allowance going back to college, if you’re over 23. Same as dole. That probably helps her .
