I think in regards to Michael disliking flying, I completely understand. He’s been on a plane before and doesn’t like it (she’s said that in the comments a few times). I personally have been on a plane twice and I hate it, it gives me horrible anxiety and I couldn’t do it again. Thankfully my partner doesn’t break up with me for something so small because he knows we can go on smaller trips or travelling via anything else but a plane.
When she first started dating Michael I had her on Facebook and saw his Facebook, he’s had a long term girlfriend before and was engaged previously. He’s since deleted his Facebook I believe but he’s a few years older than Lucille so it’s more likely that he’d meet someone way before her. Especially because he ventures out more socially and the area he lived in was quite a bit bigger so he probably went places a lot.
I personally don’t think Michael should feel forced to go on a holiday if he doesn’t want to but I don’t get her lying and saying he can’t afford it. She’s said before they split the bills down to the pence and she seems pretty tight money wise unless it’s on sweets tbh. So who’s been funding her for the months she was unemployed? Was Michael paying to keep her afloat and paying all the bills? That doesn’t seem fair imo since she didn’t even let him move in till he had a guaranteed job because she wouldn’t be paying his bills apparently.
I don’t get the fact that she doesn’t see his family, I get the plane phobia but I don’t understand why she can’t see his family but expects him to constantly be around hers. I’m not really sure how she’s anxious when she has 2 parents, 3 siblings, her siblings husband and 3 nieces /nephews around often. She also goes out fairly often, went to a concert a few weeks ago and goes abroad. That doesn’t really shout someone that has anxiety to me tbh.
I didn’t understand why she made Michael drive them down to Olly Murs with her mum, why not just go the two of them? She’s always inviting her mum to things that would normally just be a couple thing. Plus they went to Glasgow Hydro, they could’ve went to the concert together, got a hotel then travelled through to see Michael’s family for a few days since they were down there.
She just seems like a selfish, spoiled woman that will only do things her way and when Michael doesn’t go abroad it really pisses her off but she doesn’t even visit his family down the road so she can’t be getting annoyed at anyone. How are they going to have a wedding without bothering with his family? Or does she just think she can gaslight him into not inviting his own family? She’s a bit mental imo
