I think it's because aside from Fitzy and Lola, none of the couples actually like each other or the people that do like each other aren't putting in any effort. Simba and Mica could have put in some sort of effort inside the villa, instead Simba created a boundary with Angelista and said no kissing anyone else and then waited until he was out of the villa to break the boundary he set. I don't feel like Lorenzo is putting in much effort either and is just flitting around to see what sticks.It is boring. Something just isn't clicking this year yet.

That'll be because she constantly has that big wide eyed, wide mouth smile going on and it comes off as disingenuous. Nobody is that thrilled all the time.
In contrast, Ellie for example, is much more genuine and relatable.
