So it seems the "53yo white British man" arrest is a smokescreen for now because they haven't said the arrest was the driver.

The driver was protected by police and bundled into the van, but the poor man on the ground who was a victim of this ordeal, was manhandled and pinned to the ground and pepper sprayed into his eyes even though he was fully pinned down??

Maybe he had a weapon?

I thought he was doing that after they started to attack his car I'm assuming to try and get them off his car?

Yes, you can use it in speech that way. It’s not only a legal definition. Just because someone might die without being charged after killing someone unlawfully, wouldn’t mean they didn’t murder them, or wasn’t a murderer.

A car is one of the most devastating weapons a person can use but that seems to be under appreciated in this crime

This is the supposed suspect doing the rounds on X. Can't be right, he's not 53. Unless the arrest is someone else connected to it?

This says that the roads would be closed until 10pm, but if The Strand had been reopened are these drivers wrong to ensure that the side roads were open too? It seems like they found themselves on a road full of people. One driver reacted in rage and caused a lot of harm.
