Sadly I suspect the reason he stopped getting into trouble for being violent was probably because it was happening behind closed doors.

I 100% believe it is cognitive dissonance around the idea that a white guy "family man" could not do something so awful, something that on par with non-white terrorists/lone wolf psychos. When the incident first happened people on social media were instantly convinced it was a terror attack to the point it was like they wanted it to be.

Daily Mail and their ilk have much to answer for.
I started the initial thread for this when it hapoened and thought it was a terrorist attack because the car swerved towards the crowd seemingly intentionally, I didn't want it to be a terrorist attack obviously, I knew people attending the parade.

Yeah this is exactly why people initially thought it was a terrorist, because it was so deliberately aiming at the crowd. As soon as it was a white ”family man” he was “frightened and panicked by the fans attacking his car” as if he was a horse who got spooked.

two words: male violence

people with an interest in Liverpool may want to know that one of the city’s main homeless outreach charities were today gifted a load of clothing by none other than….Montirex! It’s good to know that homeless scousers can wear the traditional uniform and never have their nationality questioned due to wearing some rit from Primark.

I understand, it's that there were people on the likes of X instantly demanding a description of him, becoming suspicious when they didn't get all the info right away, etc. There's that reaction to incident now.
