What is Je ne sais Quoi like? Hard to tell from online? Is it like a peach? Avid Lisa fan here, have several lipsticks, the foundation, tint and three eyeshadow palettes. Love her manner and how accessible she makes make up for all.

Loving Lisa’s latest glow sandwich video. I notice she uses Chanel loose powder in #20. Does anyone here use that? It’s of course expensive compared to Laura Mercier which is considered one of the best. I do find the tint quite shiny on me this time of year especially. I have the Chanel powder sat in my online JL basket but £50….

I've Poudre Caresse that I've been using for ages. It really lasts forever, especially as I don't often do a full make up routine with powder.

Anyone who wears contacts, how's the mascara?

I like Clinique's tubing mascara a lot so it's the only one I really use; I like my lashes to look natural but a bit more oomph to them, not thick per se. It does get bits in my eyes at times, though, but it doesn't irritate them. Most mascaras do.

I can just wait a few days for my shipment to get here of course

Chanel have also just released their own copycats, with all this spiel about "technical innovation" and HOLY FUCK they're charging £140 for one!!! As if that isn't bad enough they've released three reds which are exactly like the shades of Lisa's first three Velvets -- Ribbon, Morning and Jazz.

I just checked it out, glass case or not, money for old rope!! There will be a market of course for them. - certain types of consumer think the more expensive the better and they have plenty of money to burn through

There was a photo on reddit of a LE stand with a "Betty" eyeshadow placement but, annoyingly, no actual item or colours!

Someone on Reddit pointed out that Lisa has made public a Barbie video that was taken down. In that she uses a duo chrome eyeshadow that she says she’s working on so I’m guessing it’s a range of them.

I wish the eye pencil came in a blackened navy.

I did buy the black but had real trouble sharpening it with other brands of sharpener, same happened to the velvet lip pencils. Lost quite a lot of product with my older sharpeners (Laura Mercier, Bobbi brown, admittedly they were quite old but they sharpened other pencils I had with no problem.)

the new LE sharpener that comes with the sculpt pencils is thankfully perfect for the job.

To me, it sort of infers it's a new colour or formula, which goes against what has been said before. It makes sense given it's been 3/4 years since the others were out. Disappointing if her team have misled (even unintentionally) those who have asked.



ETA - March launch is an eye shadow pallet - the one above I presume - and brown Kitten Lash.

I read somewhere that eventually she plans to move all her lipsticks (except the velvet) to the refill format so thought I’d bite the bullet (no pun intended) now.
I wonder why not the velvets? Perhaps they need a more substantial refill cap to prevent them drying out.

It's all gone very quiet from Lisa. I was hoping we'd have the holiday launches available by now. I'm not too bothered about the brow pencil but I would probably buy it as I do need one and I know hers would be good, but I want new stuff!

I think I saw in the replies to an insta post that the holiday kits are coming later this month, but the eyebrow product is still delayed. There was a gorgeous new (silver?) lurex shade in the Keira Knightly post that I'm really excited for ....

I sort of caved, but not for the glosses (yet?), I have finally treated myself to a Rouge Experience lipstick instead - one of the new shades, Dreamy Damask. Hope I like it!! Replenished my cleanser and skin tint too. I haven't had new makeup since... had to check - March! And that was the Betty palette.

Which means the LE mascara I'm still using was purchased in January. So, overdue replacing but it has not gone clumpy or anything. No wonder I fell out of being an Emerald.

I finally got my package! It got stranded at Customs for a bit.

The 2 bags look nice, though the green one is... not a pretty green color. Olive green. The Liberty patterned one is really nice and a good size for travel so I put all my LE products in it. Perfect!

Ashes of Roses I thought would be more pink than it is. It is more of a neutral pink-brown and does not look that great on me. I can wear it but it's a bit meh. I look kinda like a corpse unless I put some gloss or something else OVER it.

Pinpoint Concealer is okay. It's a nice formula, blends well but not worth the money for me; I really need an actual concealer as I have pretty decent skin just awful undereye problems. I can use it as an inner eye highlight, though, so there's that? It's not for me so a waste of money but oh well, I'll find use for it.

I got 2 of the glosses, one in Ribbon and the other in Blush (I have Petal and Blush Lightly as well). Really love them.

The lip pencil I got is good. It's a lip pencil. I have one in Petal as well and it is a bit softer. This one, the 1C, is close to my actual lip color which is why I chose it, I wanted something neutral I could use with a lot of different lipsticks as I'm mostly a lipstick and mascara girl.

That’s a shame regarding the pinpoint but you could use it around your lip line to subtly highlight the shape of your lips. Also on the arch of your brow? The odd spot that may appear?

Try the 1c lip pencil all over as a base then put on the ashes of rises. 1c definitely “pinks” up a lipstick in my opinion.

I've not known Lisa's website to be inaccurate with has such good customer service I think it's worth the risk.

Not that it helps your situation, but I'm white and Phoebe looks exactly the same on me as it does the white model, same warm tone. Opacity can change if you use a smaller amount, but when I've used it normally, it's been the same opacity as the pic.

I wish Lisa had included in the range a really neutral calico colour for pale/cool skin tones with lids prone to redness. I find the current lineup of shades a bit baffling TBH and I don’t think any of them would look good on me (foundation 10 and skin tint 6)
