I’m very happy to have two of the three lipsticks on their way to me but I do agree totally with the criticism too.

A proper concealer, a beautiful compact powder, and yes some more wearable eyeshadows please.

I hope she is working on the most beautiful refillable compact. She nailed it with the lipstick case, it’s beautiful, weighty and so elegant

Also wonder why Lisa has yet to add navy to her eye pencils. I purchase VB's navy which is quite nice, yet the price is a bit much. Guilty of buying so much of Lisa's products, many of which I hardly use. Yet I continue to buy things I really don't need. She's that incredible influencing imo.

Are you me? 😆 I’m enjoying the VB navy noir but I baulk at the price of it to be honest. The new Marilyn release has made me realise I need to start using my elevated glow highlighter which is at the back of my makeup drawer. I guess because I’m a combination skin and after spf thus time of year I’m glowy enough that I don’t think about adding another glow product, I’ll try it on my eyelids and cheekbones for a special party this weekend and report back. I’m tempted by the butterfly glow Marilyn but I’ve had to reign myself in and be firm in not buying any more makeup.

I mix the highlighter into the foundation for a lighter look. I really like how it looks. I put a blob of highligher on the back of my hand with one or two pumps of foundation and mix.

I like the look of the pinky highlighter.

Ooh I’ll try that. Is it Lisa’s foundation or another brand? :)

I have lots of hospital appointments coming up and I think I might get something from Miss Eldridge. Does the Velatura balm dry down or does it leave a sticky residue? Will my hair stick to it?

It doesn't stick. I wouldn't say it drives down either, it's more of a thing cream blush.

Hope the appointments go well.

Velatura doesnt dry, but it's not sticky either unless you really build it up. Even then I just lightly powder it and haven't noticed it becoming sticky again

I have been on Tattle for a few years now but Today learned there is a Lisa thread! I love Lisa's work and own a lot of her stuff. Far too many lipsticks which I'm trying to sell off on FB... but I'm tempted by the pink lipstick. I have Medici in the refillable for winter, and wanted Audrey to work on me but it REALLY doesn't. A decent pink for summer would be nice. I wear Velveteen Rain which is lovely but a bit bright for every day.

I dislike the obsession with ‘weighty’ packaging. I don’t live a taxi lifestyle, I don’t want to carry unnecessary weight in my makeup bag. “High end” products literally have heavy metals stuck in them so that the packaging signifies premium status. I want refillable that don’t weigh down a pocket like that lipstick.

There was an interesting discussion about this on large Mascara a few years ago about how to make beauty more sustainable everyone needs to move away from the idea that weight = prestige. And I hate to say it but I do feel that when I have an object that has a bit of weight to it, it does feel more prestigious than lighter packaging.

I'm not sure I tend to notice if a product is heavy or not and relate that to luxury. Obviously I did notice how heavy the rouge experience case is but presumed that was just how it was made and not deliberate. Clearly it was very deliberrate!

A compact to match would be good that can be refilled with different setting or finishing powders. But given how we are still waiting for that brow product that must have been due for release more than a year ago now, I won't hold my breath!

I know this is a rave thread but I’m not a fan of the Marilyn Monroe centenary collection. It just feels a bit tacky.

On a happier note, I’ve finding bought Seamless Skin. I made myself use up another foundation first.

I like the light highlighter (well the look of it, I've not tried it). I think Lisa loves the older style of make up so wouldn't be surprised if we saw other collections like this but I hope few and far between. I'm still waiting for the blushes.

I have ordered Amanghasett and Strawberry Blonde. I do love the Velveteen formula.
