I’m so tempted by the guerlain lipstick compacts for pocket / top
Ups. Has anyone tried them? Wish Lisa would do a version
Guerlain came out with this idea many years ago and then they changed the packaging so old lipsticks and cases wouldn’t work with new lipsticks and cases. There’s a great Chloe Morello video where she learns about this in real time and she displays the absolute frustration and disappointment of the issue haha. So for me that would be a worry, if they have changed before they will likely change again. Also they are quite light and feel cheap even though they don’t look it. I remember on an old episode of large Mascara their guest said for us to become more environmentally sustainable with makeup we need to move past this idea that luxe = heavy but I’m sorry, I just can’t!

Also did anyone else see Lisa has stepped down from Lancôme as Global Creative Director. I did find her appointment a bit odd after awhile because she used to regularly appear on their social media, especially their YouTube channel and she would promote a lot of the products she made with them (that infamous highlighter flower) but for a good while she hasn’t visibly been associated with them so much so I asked her team if she still was a few years ago (curiosity gets the better of me again!) I also found it a shame they didn’t seem to update their main collections and Lisa worked (seemingly) on new ideas or limited editions. I’m still gutted they got rid of the Juicy Shakers because they were amazing! Mine still work and don’t smell off or have mould on. Justice for them!!

I have one of the old Guerlain refillable lipsticks and cases and hardly used it as the lipstick wasn’t fantastic, and the case was just too heavy.

It was my most-regretted makeup purchase for a while, because of how expensive it was and how little I used it.

See when I tested it in store I found the case quite light haha. Yes I’ve heard that unfortunately the lipsticks aren’t the best which is a shame because I love the idea. Similarly with the Carolina Herarra lipsticks where you can customise the case, add charms etc which is cute and everything but the lipstick itself just doesn’t stack up.

Did you test the old Guerlain case or the new ones? I was referring to the old ones, they were so heavy!

I do think refillable lipsticks are largely a waste of money, they inevitably eventually get discontinued and then you’re left with useless cases you spent money on.

I've still got a Juicy Shaker which I treasure. I still use it occasionally and nothing wrong with it. Like you I'm so sad they were discontinued. Great product in amazing packaging.

I’m quite happy with something lightweight - ty for sharing on the lipstick quality tho! I think it looks much chicer to reapply with than going into office bathroom. U prob saved me £75 so ty 😘

I got obsessed with "collecting" those back in the day - they are ridiculously heavy.

I'm safe from Velatura mania though - anything shiny just looks so wrong on me.

I finally received my balms today. Ordered 4.45 on Wednesday as site was letting me order a bit early. So glad I bothered as all those people who ordered the day after seem to have got theirs earlier ... 😡

I only got pomegranate and cinnamon. Would anyone find swatches with some other blushes useful to compare?

Yes please.
If it makes you feel any better, I was one of those people who ordered the day after and my order hasn’t been dispatched yet.
Which delivery company does she use please? I’m out 2 days next week so I was hoping it would’ve been sent on Friday to arrive on Monday but that’s not happened,

That doesn't make me feel better because we are proper customers and the infleuncers spend far less than we do and their orders arriver earlier than ours! 😡 hope yours arrives tomorrow

Mine was delivered via Evri, who are normally pretty good.

Once my pizza has arrived and I've scoffed it I'll compare Lisa's new releases to Merit and Rare Beauty blushes. I'm not sure what others I've got that are popular.

I haven’t got many recent release blushes. The only cream ones I have are from Trinny and Beauty Pie which is why I thought I’d try Lisa’s.

Evri used to be brilliant here but we’ve got a new delivery man and now it’s dire.

Used the Velatura yesterday for the first time and I love it - this might be my favourite product so far. It's subtle, but somehow with just a few swipes on lips and cheeks it made me look fresh and healthy. Have to resist more colours now!

I'm impressed too. I'm thinking of buying another one 😱

Damnit, do I need one? I just don’t know which colour/s to get. I’d like a swipe.

I'm tempted to go try to see if I can find this in stores anywhere - Space NK maybe?!

I'd say they are most like the merit domes in texture. They aren't particularly dewy once tapped into the skin to blend and i haven'tfound then sticky on the cheeks. As much as I wasn't excited by them, I'm glad I got a couple. I can see myself using these in summer over a tinted sunscreen and that's it.

I need to give praise to the LE shade match team - bit of background i have used T3 in the past ( mid summer ) and it was a good shade match ( matched in store). Fast forward 2 years I have been wanting to buy another bottle of the skin tint for the last few months but have resisted as i couldn't work out if I was actually a T3 still ( I live on an island so cant get shade matched in person unless I visit the UK).
So I have resisted - a couple of weeks ago I decided I'd take a pic of my face and email the LE team to ask for advice. The response was T6 - i pushed back because I am cool toned . The T6 is listed as a straight neutral. The team came back with try T3 or T6 . I said thanks and left it at that.
As it happened I was visiting friends in Sheffield over this weekend just gone so decided to visit Spacenk to get shade matched.. low and behold i am indeed a T6 . The T3 is too golden . T6.5 is too dark ( this was another i was considering) and the T2 ( which is what I thought i was - much too pale).

Unfortunately no T6 in stock so I ordered online and ended up buying the Rose Madder blush whilst in store.

So well done to the lady who emailed me back and said I was T6 . I am impressed !

I couldn't find the blushes anywhere in London when I was there, sigh, so I will hold off! I'm on my flight home...

It's amazing they were able to shade match you from a photo! I went to Liberty for a shade match and she made me orange.
