Guerlain came out with this idea many years ago and then they changed the packaging so old lipsticks and cases wouldn’t work with new lipsticks and cases. There’s a great Chloe Morello video where she learns about this in real time and she displays the absolute frustration and disappointment of the issue haha. So for me that would be a worry, if they have changed before they will likely change again. Also they are quite light and feel cheap even though they don’t look it. I remember on an old episode of Fat Mascara their guest said for us to become more environmentally sustainable with makeup we need to move past this idea that luxe = heavy but I’m sorry, I just can’t!

Also did anyone else see Lisa has stepped down from Lancôme as Global Creative Director. I did find her appointment a bit odd after awhile because she used to regularly appear on their social media, especially their YouTube channel and she would promote a lot of the products she made with them (that infamous highlighter flower) but for a good while she hasn’t visibly been associated with them so much so I asked her team if she still was a few years ago (curiosity gets the better of me again!) I also found it a shame they didn’t seem to update their main collections and Lisa worked (seemingly) on new ideas or limited editions. I’m still gutted they got rid of the Juicy Shakers because they were amazing! Mine still work and don’t smell off or have mould on. Justice for them!!

I've still got a Juicy Shaker which I treasure. I still use it occasionally and nothing wrong with it. Like you I'm so sad they were discontinued. Great product in amazing packaging.

I know this is a rave thread but I’m not a fan of the Marilyn Monroe centenary collection. It just feels a bit tacky.

On a happier note, I’ve finding bought Seamless Skin. I made myself use up another foundation first.

I like the light highlighter (well the look of it, I've not tried it). I think Lisa loves the older style of make up so wouldn't be surprised if we saw other collections like this but I hope few and far between. I'm still waiting for the blushes.

I don't think it’s been as popular as she expected.
The only item that’s sold out is the limited edition boxed set. Everything else is still available .
Imho the fancy outside boxes are pointless because, not being a collector, they are just thrown away.

Yeah, if I wanted any of the items already available like dragon gloss or pencil, I'd opt for regular packaging. As much as I love Marilyn and vintage style, it's just packaging I'd throw away.

Charlotte Holdcroft has teased new blushes on her latest video. She applied what looked like a tawny brown shade but said she couldn’t say anything about them. Lots of comments saying those it’s Lisa’s new blushes.

That could just be because it's a sample.

I think it's legit - new, unreleased makeup from brands always ends up on these sites, as PRs/other people sell them when they shouldn't be doing so.

Could be a sample, that’s true.
I just hope if Lisa has collabed with the MM estate the packaging and components are more elevated.

Damnit, do I need one? I just don’t know which colour/s to get. I’d like a swipe.

I'd say they are most like the merit domes in texture. They aren't particularly dewy once tapped into the skin to blend and i haven'tfound then sticky on the cheeks. As much as I wasn't excited by them, I'm glad I got a couple. I can see myself using these in summer over a tinted sunscreen and that's it.

Another one who snapped up kitten brow. I’ve been looking for a brow gel and nearly bought the rare beauty one today so the timing is really good. I'd also buy anything Lisa releases so I'm happy to pay more than I would for the rare beauty one.

The Rare Beauty brow gel is my HG. Not sure yet another brow gel is needed on the market, and the big "Cara" brow trend is done so the "fluffy" USP here is odd. I've been demoted to Amethyst anyway & unless something else comes out next month, my 3000 LE points will soon expire.

Did anyone here see Lisa’s masterclass yesterday? Such an interesting one, I love these. She mentioned/used forthcoming products that sound/look amazing: a brow gel (that also works on flyaways); a new concealer (that she used under her eyes); a more dramatic mascara (I think she said next year for that). She also used the long-awaited brow pencil and it sounded like we’ll get that soon. I had a few interruptions so there might have been other things ........

She also mentioned a new brush release.

Anyone else find this? I have the skin foundation. As the range caters to olives where basically no one else does, the shade is absolute perfection but I find the wear is not good and after 3/4 hours it starts separating and looking a bit bobbly.

I'm so upset cos I love how it looks for the first hour or 2

I’ve only tried samples of her foundation but I thought it was a bit cakey on my skin so I never purchased a full size.
Her Skintint however is perfection.
It’s much lighter coverage though.

I finally tossed my Velveteens (Affair and Rain) that I've had since the beginning and it got me wondering why Lisa never released more shades of these after the first drop? As far as liquid lipsticks go I haven't come across anything comparable to the quality of this formula.
