So racism will be used as a shield, to deflect legitimate criticism. Right....
That’s the crux of it! There’s lots more to come out but the person wanted to wait until her mayoral yr was up before sharing it .

This one is supposed to be an advocate for human rights and is gloating about being in Downing Street and having a pint poured by Keir Stamer..she would do anything to feather her own nest and ego

Safe to say her mayoralty went down like a lead balloon and showed exactly what type of character she is.

Anyone know what's going on? Seen an independent with a cryptic post up but comments indicate it's got something to do with Lillian

Reading this thread with interest..am from the Republic and we have someone very similar in local politics, very much pushed by the party machine. Since she's been elected, her main focus is anti-racism, migrant charities, funding for integration groups, language teaching etc. Like Lilian, she complains of racist abuse (which is never acceptable) but it seems to be a way of rallying sympathy and making her immune to criticism.

I find it so tedious. Local politicians had their faults but they had real, genuine connections to a town and its people. Their family worked in local businesses and lived locally. They cared about the factory closing or the river being polluted or the schoolkids in prefabs. The likes of Lilian and others just swoop in and arrogantly centre themselves and others from their background (a tiny, newly arrived minority) and prioritise them for resources. It's actually breathtaking how awful they are, especially in a city like Derry and its recent and painful experiences of civil conflict. I hope people get tired of her.

Oh god, another one from a well-heeled political family, but who had to "flee" Nigeria in her 30s. Got the statues outside the Shelbourne removed because they were racist and was served some racist Ribena instead of red wine in a hotel, a matter for the national press. She's a towering spoofer. I dunno, Irish people used to have a well-developed bull detector and sense of the absurd, I honestly can't figure out what happened.

Yeah they’re all part of a cross border race equality initiative funded by the Irish taxpayers and EU commission . They’ve invited this American civil rights advocate over to join them.

It's imported ideology that has no bearing on Ireland and its history. So infuriating to see it stoking division and wasting resources.

She’ll be looking to be co-opted into the assembly next, imagine thinking she’ll achieve equality / inclusion in the most divided region of the British Isles, peace walls serve as a constant reminder of that.
