It’s not abnormal for him to still be in cot, mine was 3 before we put took the side off. Depends on your individual child, if they aren’t an escape artist it’s good to keep them in the cot for long as possible

Yeh it’s perfectly normal for him to be in a cot if he doesn’t climb, however atleast get him a pillow and a duvet!!! Christ mines just turned 3 and he insists on his pillow, blanket and atleast 10 teddies at the foot of his bed

My 3 year old (well 3 in 3 weeks) is still in a cot. He’s never once tried to get out of it and he’s quite happy in there. We will convert it soon, but for now he’s happy and we are happy. He sleeps so well and I feel like changing it now may disturb that because he’ll just get out when he wants. We kept him in it mostly because we had a newborn when he was 2 and we coslept so I was worried he would come into our room and try to get in bed with me or something so just kept him in it and we just keep meaning to but haven’t yet

She’s totally got a screw loose. Does she not realise that the staff will be doing all sorts of personal care type things for him while he’s there, especially if he’s not toilet trained? But yeah taking off a gilet is weird

Did she feel weird, or ashamed that he couldn't help like other children his age to take it off.
Admittedly it may be on backwards etc at his age, but most parents are trying to teach them independent dressing by now.
