I hate to say it, I really do as there’s nothing worse than someone casting a judgement on your child, and comparing: but my little boy is 2.5 months older than River and there’s just absolutely no comparison. River is still quite baby like and his actions and the noises he makes just arent normal for a child of his age. Even 2.5 months ago when my son was rivers age now he was talking in 4-5 word sentences and wasn’t making the noises River does. The videos of him on the beach were as if he was a 1 year old. With the extra intervention she’s been having from health visitors and from what I’ve seen of him on her stories, I do think he has some sort of ALN.

She doesn't seem to ever just talk to him or interact normally with him. I think he's been brought up in silence which I'm sure doesn't help.

It really is horrible. My son has just turned 3, on the ASD pathway and is classed as non verbal, he can say lots of words but just can’t communicate. However a year ago he was just like River. Admittedly I was oblivious until someone at his nursery pointed it out. Since then I’ve been getting him lots of support and just in the process of getting an EHCP for him starting school next year.

The latest reel discussing their “matching gilets” just goes to show how behind (or possibly an underlying cause) for why river does not interact in any way, the noises he makes aren’t right fit a child of his age.

but of course Jade will be all “oh I didn’t know that was something I need to be looking into”

How old is River? I have a 19 month old daughter who seems more advanced than him?? She speaks full sentences and words and if she can't nap in a cot then she makes it clear she wants a pillow etc??

Looking back he was 2 in May, lets hope where he's going will help him along.

Did you guys see her videos about dropping him at Playgroup? She said Rhod was traumatised and was stood by the door sobbing. These two are nuts and are setting that little boy up for failure.

I’m sorry!!!! I have 2 children and I love them beyond words, but that is not normal behaviour! I was a young working mum so mine had to go into childcare to allow me to work, was I gutted to leave them, absolutely, was there a few tears, of course but ultimately they needed to be around other children to develope and I needed to work, it’s pretty normal!!! The pair of them are setting this poor kid up to be full of anxiety if he isn’t already!! Poor bugger!

I did wonder at that. I know all kids are different but he seems markedly behind.

I’m sure all children will do the crying thing because it’s new surroundings etc, Christ only knows what she will be like when he starts school!

the difference is that my little one has NEVER seen me get or my partner get upset about leaving him because that’s obviously going to make it worse 🙄

Wow, is that emotion normal about a first day at playgroup? I know parents get teary but “traumatic” when River went in fine!?

Rhod seems like an absolute wet blanket crossed with a spunky sock for “sobbing” at the door.

As for Jade, air quoting the “qualifications” of a nursery assistant/teacher, I can honestly say they’d do a better job of caring for that child than these two absolute clowns.

Maybe they’re more upset as they have been advised to put him in nursery to help his development as some delays have been flagged and that’s why they’re more emotional about it, she just never mentioned that part until she’s ready maybe.

I just want to give her a shake. It makes me so angry that she just seems oblivious to everything and her feelings are more important that Rivers development. My wee boy started showing delays and signs of ASD during lockdown. No one listened. My HV was shockingly bad, no one seemed to care. No one took anything on board as I sobbed that he still wasn’t talking at 2! It wasn’t until nursery that finally someone listened to me. And you’ve got this one who seems more bothered about having matching Gilets!!!
the tears for adoration then straight into selling that bloody face vibrator
And as for Rhod fu** me he needs to grow a pair, have a wash and man up
IF River is on the spectrum they are both going to have to grow up. It is HARD! You have to fight for your child, the reports are brutal, the appointments and assessments exhausting. They need to man up and do better

This. With puffy eyes pushing a sale.

This is what I've been saying about Jade for years, she's not as dizzy as she makes out. She's a manipulative cow when it comes to getting what SHE wants

The ads for her face vibrator thing straight after this sob story just goes to show what’s more important to her.

Very true but if they were like this and River was absolutely fine at nursery, god knows what they’ll be like when he’s screaming because he doesn’t want to go (I’m sure all kids have done it once before at nursery drop off)

the delays he has though might not be something that can be “solved” through more interaction with other children and I honestly don’t think they’d take that initiative to get it investigated.

I wonder what the nursery thought of Rhod sobbing at the door 😅

What an absolute pair of dickheads. So selfish to be ‘hysterical’ and sobbing while River seems fine, hold it til you’re in the car on the way home if you must be an emotional mess ffs.

Just thinking of themselves. I have always been totally relieved when my kids have gone into nursery calmly and happy to be there. Have a little cry in the car and miss them all day but so relieved they are happy my feelings take a back seat

Absolutely! I can’t get over how pathetic the 2 of them are. Honestly this has made me so angry and just really dislike Jade completely
