Ironing!
My mum irons literally everything! Tea towels, pants, duster, you name it. I left home thinking I had to do this too, would spend ages ironing baby vests, baby grows, bedding etc. Until I got to child 3 and though duck this, I ain't got time for this tit. I now only iron school shirts when they need it and have more time for me 🙂
Another little tip for you, my mum only ironed the front of our school shirts and once I hit 12 she stopped completely 😅

Life's too short for washing dishes, crockery, pans by hand. I put almost everything through the dishwasher. If an oven tray or pot is particularly grubby and greasy I'll give it a quick scrub with the dishbrush then put it through the dishwasher to finish it off. The only things I wash by hand are wine glasses, or larger items like my huge wok if the dishwasher is full. I know putting on the dishwasher every day is probably pushing up my lecky bill but I don't mind. I hate the alternative of having to wash everything by hand and the dirty dishes building up, I did it for years pre dishwasher and hated the mess

Holding grudges and dwelling on the past about what can't be changed. It will eat you up inside.

Staying in a job you hate.

Worrying about what others think of you.

Staying inside all day. Go out, explore, even if it's just to breathe in the fresh air. 🌻

Keeping someone else happy but sacrificing your own happiness.
I really feels this deep!

Making your own pasta
Or puff pastry!

And folding fitted sheets (not that it can be done)

Deep cleaning the living room hardwood floor every week. I cant believe I used to do that - it's a floor, it's supposed to be dirty!
Nothing like having kids to put housework into perspective.

Being angry. Its a horrid emotion and exhausting. It leads to bitterness. Just, accept it and move on.

Life is too short for....

Wearing matching socks. Who cares 🤷‍♀️
We regularly wear odd socks in this house simply because who has the time to pair socks 😂
and, as an added bonus, if one sock he s a hole in it, you can simply dispose of that one sock rather than the entire matching pair - because it doesn’t matter if all your socks are odd. 👌🏻

Bad books. I used to suffer through them for the sake of completion. Not anymore. There are too many good books out there waiting to be read.

Arguments. Feel free to have a different opinion, then move on. No use dwelling on it or trying to change anyone.

Life is too short for ...

The constant pursuit of being right.

Often times being quiet and maintaining a sense of happiness is more valuable.

Life’s too short for caring what other people think about you. Live your life, do what you want (unless you’re planning to invade another country 😬).

Decanting pasta, cereal etc into separate containers.
I’m going to have to politely disagree with you on the pasta and cereals. I recently found a support group for dealing with the never ending crisis of pantry pests. Prevention is the key to success. Keep decanting and freeze your flours after purchasing.

I don’t know what I think life is too short for. Perhaps delaying treating anxiety and/or depression with medicine. No one is handing out awards for toughing it out.
