Life's too short for.....

Anything that's surplus to your life's requirements.

I'll start with old Slippers.
Found a new pair hanging around, slid my tired old feet in them and felt like I was walking on a new mattress. I'm going to find all my old Slippers and throw out any that have lost their bounce 😁

Wearing matching socks. Who cares 🤷‍♀️
We regularly wear odd socks in this house simply because who has the time to pair socks 😂

I'm actually inspired! I now feel this acceptable and you are sooooo right, who needs to spend an extra 5 mind looking for a matching pair that no one else is going to see? 🙌 thank you!

Cleaning!
Honestly, if you can afford it I would recommend getting a cleaner. Even every once in a while get someone in to do a deep clean.

Bad mattresses

You spend around 1/3rd of your life in bed. Don't buy a cheap mattress it's a false economy.

Fake Vanilla

It's hugely expensive, but real vanilla is lovely. I'd rather not have it than have synthetic vanilla.

Cheap chocolate
All Cadbury stuff is loaded with more sugar and vegetable oils as it's cheaper. Waxy and very sweet. A creme egg isn't really that nice anymore with all this crap.

Holding grudges and dwelling on the past about what can't be changed. It will eat you up inside.

Staying in a job you hate.

Worrying about what others think of you.

Staying inside all day. Go out, explore, even if it's just to breathe in the fresh air. 🌻

Keeping someone else happy but sacrificing your own happiness.

Lying in bed for unnecessary long periods of time. I’m on a trip to Edinburgh at the moment and my sister is hitting her 11th hour of sleep. I think I might get dressed and leave her to it 🤣

Putting up with toxic relationships - pull the plug!

Clutter ... get rid of it - the feeling of a lovely, clear, space is unbeatable.

Watching bad TV shows or movies ... don't waste another minute hoping it will improve.

I so agree with the clutter. I have halved my possessions and it is so freeing. Also takes less time cleaning.

Ironing!
My mum irons literally everything! Tea towels, pants, duster, you name it. I left home thinking I had to do this too, would spend ages ironing baby vests, baby grows, bedding etc. Until I got to child 3 and though duck this, I ain't got time for this tit. I now only iron school shirts when they need it and have more time for me 🙂

I hate ironing too. Most of my clothes don't need to be ironed apart from the odd viscose dress. I'd never have the patience to iron towels or bedsheets, my mother does iron those but she says she enjoys ironing...

I'm one of those sad people who irons (mostly) everything ... I don't iron underwear or teatowels, but I do fold those as soon as they come out the dryer. My main reason for ironing everything is because I like the look and feel of neatness ... and I find the ironing process itself quite relaxing (I usually pop something on TV to watch while I do it). Pillows and bedsheets especially feel incredible once they've been spritzed with lavender and ironed.

100%! Sure, it looks lovely having little matching containers all neatly labelled, but I just don't see the point. A lot of stuff comes in resealable bags; what doesn't, can easily be folded over (still in the packet), with a clothes peg to hold it in place. You also save space by not having containers.

Ironing. Haven't done it for years, don't own an iron 😅 ain't got time for that!

Low large anything. It just makes me sad 😅 as someone else said mayo as an example, thin runny low large mayo is just manky on a burger 🤢 light cheese can get in the bin too 🚮

Looking for matching socks. Any two socks does me just fine 🤷😅

For not living your life as you want to (i.e. behaving how others want you to).

Saving things for special occasions … wear that beautiful dress, eat off the best crockery, spritz yourself in your favourite perfume, open that vintage bottle of wine.
