Surely Miriam isn’t banging on again about how Irish influencers appear to be the only ones getting laughed at? It just goes to show how narrow her worldview is, for the past few years it’s been shown that people have grown tired of them on a global scale.
The curtain has been pulled back and most folk over a certain age (basically, once they finish secondary school) are fed up with brands catering towards a certain market. There’s a reason why most credible brands have shifted away from gaudy Trippin’ with Tarte affairs and more towards genuine, down to earth people because that is what folk collectively prefer to see. A lot of influencer nonsense has ran its course and it feels like Ireland is ten steps behind as usual.
If you see a brand in Ireland doing something with influencers you can almost predict which girls that wear White Fox and are coated in fake tan with lip fillers are going to appear. It’s boring and shows how out of touch everyone involved is.
