Kids TV that you hate

My kiddo is now 6 and thankfully outgrew CBeebies a couple of years ago. I HATED Topsy and Tim. Joy, the mother, made me feel like the shittiest mum on earth because she was so twee and perfect.

I also couldn’t stand In the Night Garden but now it makes me feel nostalgic for when my daughter was tiny.

Can’t stand Justin Fletcher in any format. He comes across as jolly but you can see he’s an impatient diva with a nasty side under it all.

I had to ban all YouTube, I didn’t like the rampant consumerism and bratty ‘pranks’. Ryan’s Toy Review is about the only one that gets a pass sometimes.

I used to like Abadas but I don’t think that’s on any more.

Speaking of Waffle, has anyone seen the episode where we get to see Mrs Hobbs' back story and the reason why she hates dogs? Made me feel rather sorry for her.

I hate how they can't go 5 minutes out of the house without pining for that bloody dog.

I used to love the Mike the Knight closing theme tune! Soooo much better than the opening credits

There's a YouTube video of all the tunes used in Hey Duggee. It's good for a bop! I love the aerobics one and Dugeee's rain dance

Oh God, it's that time of year when Cbeebies show their various pantos about 4 times a day. One has just started, it's the usual overacting, earnest singing and forced jolliness. Even my kids turn their nose up at this crap. Please tell me I'm not the only one?

Toys and colours on YouTube. I thought it was people making films at home but apparently it's a real professional thing . The way they all say 'ok' all the time and the 'aunties' and 'uncles ' get the kids everything they want .

I liked 3rd and bird on Cbeebies about 10 years ago . I'm sure cbeebies was better then .

We don't do Horrid henry in our house. Such an annoying unlikeable character. My son threw mud at my sheets on the washing line. I naturally gave him a telling off and he said 'horrid henry did it and everyone laughed', so its been banned.

Hey Duggee came up on my facebook feed the other day - the 'Parenting in 2020' badge. I thought it was quite entertaining okay.

Fortunately I watch all this rubbish with my little brothers so I can get a break a majority of the time

I'm so glad you mentioned the Toys and Colours. My daughter has recently started watching this and I have to make her turn it off because it's so annoying. The way they all speak at the end of a sentence, Wendy, Uncle John, so creepy, ugh.

I never see children's TV but I've seen pictures of Mr Tumble. He looks quite a character to say the least!

I know this is well random but all Tumble haters please if you have a spare evening look up the ‘CBeebies telly totty’ thread on mumsnet - pages and pages of people perving over Tumble, it’s like a car crash, horrific but you can’t look away
