Looks like she commissioned a title song for the Japan series, pro singer warbling “Let’s go, shall we?”. She did that for the cruise, remember? It was a jazz number about “Catherine and Dean On a cruse “. She’s throwing money about like it’s going out of fashion. And it’s a bit rich going to those lengths to professionalise her vlogs when you can’t hear what she’s saying for half of it. The sound is bleeping hideous, not helped by the very intrusive and loud backing music.
Priorities Catherine. You’re not a BBC documentary maker, just focus on the basics.

Also, her and Dean roaming Heathrow with plushies hanging off them... No words.

Is there anything more self-absorbed than believing you have created a catchphrase because you strung a few words together?
Too bad she still can’t comprehend the grammar of it.

Catherine, stick to googling ‘chibi [insert animal]’ and tracing it on your iPad. You have the personality of a paper plate.

On the last studio vlog she filmed herself ”working” and put a caption on screen ”A solid seven hours of editing” as if there was something extraordinary about working for not quite a full day. Absolutely no clue about what constitutes a real job.

It’s like she’s trying to cheat her way around only being able to eat smaller portions, rather than making that her new way. So the weight is going to go back on because she’s eating the same

On the Japan travel day they had a meal at the airport, three good sized meals plus snacks on the flight, then she walloped down a 7 Eleven beef curry with rice and a cream bun in bed. She’d have consumed the bag of pickled plums too if they hadn’t turned out to be sour. (clue is in the name, Catherine). I see no attempt to control portions.

So, I just came back from Asia and basically did a very similar flight (14hrs overnight, taking off in the evening).

The amount of food you get on the plane is A LOT. Everyone commented on it.
Got food as soon as youre on, and served breakfast 30mins before landing.
Didn’t need extra snacks (it’s night time anyway).

She would have eaten that beef curry at the equivalent of 9am/10am UK time before adjusting to the timezone yet. Even more so because she admits to getting a full sleep on the plane.
She basically ate beef curry and dessert as a second breakfast.
GROSS.

Edit: I'm not gonna knock the plushies on bags. Me and the fella were the same. The lack of judgement in Japan is just lovely, everyone has plushies from children to adults and you're just allowed to enjoy being a bit of dweeb.

I watched the Japan vlog because I enjoyed hers from the last time they were there. You guys are right- she’s packing the weight back on again and hiding it in these baggy clothes she’s wearing- maybe she’s not registered what she’s putting on because the clothing tends to hide it being oversized? Dean still looked miserable even though he’s off on holiday again… I appreciate some people aren’t as smiley as others but he literally looks miserable all the time!!
I also don’t have any issue with her having the plushies on her bags and such- I’d totally do that too if I had the confidence (not with her designs though!) but I feel like people would rip me for being a grown woman with a plush bag charm… so props to her for that!

I'm waiting to see if this vlog series annoys me as much as her previous one in Japan did! I'm no expert by far but for someone who markets herself as japan culture inspired and such she seems to know jack tit about the country or language.

I think I’ve twigged what’s turning me off - her thing has stopped being about her a sweet lady talking about business/art and now all about HERSELF with the business/art consequential, as evidenced with the push to be a travel blogger and constant posing selfies and trying to make “sHaLl We” stick as a catchphrase.

I always give someone attention freely until they start demanding it.

I agree with you. I loved her in the beginning when she was in her tiny office. She was fun to watch, relatable. She would show her process and it was a great insight to how it is behind the scenes that I remember being genuinely excited for her when she got a little boom in sales or some fan mail that she opened on camera.

These days it's like... what awful idea is next in the line-up that she can get her fanboys/girls to buy. Somebody said in a comment before that she just makes things without properly thinking about it. It's because she doesn't need to, she has the fans who will buy it now. She is self-absorbed and comes out with the weirdest mantra crap in every video. She thinks she is a creator goddess who knows it all and must put out these 'professional' status videos. Where as before, she came across as if she was no better than you or me, just a lovely lady who wanted to create and share her business journey. Every video now we get the same introduction of who she is and what business she has. She's creating for the few new potential viewers who click on her channel, rather than those who have been around for years interested in her and her business.

And probably the biggest thing that annoys me more than the photo filters, is how she purposely looks away on photos as if to pretend they were natural snapshots. Natural photos are lovely, but posing to look natural wtf it looks stupid.

She goes all that way and does the same things she did on her last trip, all the tourist traps. Everyone with some sense knows akihabara has been hiking up all of it’s prices due to over tourism so it’s not the place to go to find good deals on things. And Dean just looks as miserable as ever.
