I feel like she’s “over polished” her content. You know, when you work away at something until you take away all its character.

It’s a fine balance between not putting in enough effort and over polishing but the scales have tipped in my humble opinion, making it the same and as bland as everyone else with that sub count.

I started watching BunBun, she’s German (I think?) but blogs in English and has incredible illustration skills and products. Her videos aren’t as polished but they’re interesting. She’s very different from Catherine personality wise, but Catherine has become a caricature of herself anyway. And because I binged watched BunBun, YouTube’s algorithm just fed me with lots more smaller, similar accounts to keep me going for ages.

How many times does she need to go to Disney for inspiration? Seriously. She’s even going without Dean now… Don’t think she’s okay mentally & emotionally tbh. This isn’t how you run a business; and when she is in, she’s just moving boxes/shelves around and putting bumblebutt decals on the walls?

Presumably she started manufacturing some of her own stuff because she was fed up of paying other companies to do it for her. So she bought all the printers and other equipment for the studio to do it herself. Now she’s doing a complete flip and is farming it all out to some Print on Demand outfit. Her stuff was already expensive for what it is but customers will now have to pay even more so that the middle man can take their cut. Cutesy stickers and t-shirts with logos are ten a penny and her designs are so generic she risks people just going elsewhere.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but kind of found her lastest vlog self-indulgent. She goes on about not having enough time to create (*you’re the one always running of to Japan or Disney) she’s going to be in for a shock if/when she does have a baby = no time then!
Also, don’t most people “find themselves” from travelling?…she mentions feeling lost.
Annoys me when she tries to compare herself alongside Beatrix Potter and Tova Jansson - your work isn’t in the same league Catherine. Think she is actually a bit delusional “world of katnipp” and how much of an impact her characters will have on people.

I feel like she spent 12 mins talking about absolutely nothing.
It seems like she's read comments on here about going away all the time and trying to do the most and taken that on board which in the long run will be good for her and her business, but realistically in terms of the reach of her products it can't really go that far beyond what she's done already because her characters have no WOW factor, they're just very simple. She's made an instagram account for Bumblebutt but I can't imagine that's going to go particularly far either.
It's sad, she was very inspiring in the beginning but her approach to her work (time keeping, attention to detail, inconsistency) is unappealing.

I think I’ve heard her say that after years of being overweight and being restricted by that she wants to get out there and experience things as a “normal” sized person. Totally understandable.
However it’s not normal for a “normal” sized person or anyone else to be on holiday every month or to get to visit the very expensive, premium destinations that she visits so often.
She has multiple income streams, some of which she has alluded to but doesn’t feature in vlogs (example Babybluu). The ones we know about all seem to be interdependent to some degree but where is the most income coming from? I don‘t think she’s daft, far from it. That cutesy, ditzy, squeaky voice act doesn’t cut it with me. Look at her oldest blogs, she doesn’t speak like that. Hard nosed and calculating.

Her IG post shows she's in Disneyland Paris at the Disneyland Hotel. Not so long ago she said she hadn't had any holiday's. How do they find the time and money they're off to Japan in January. Also noticed she was wearing the same cardigan that Adam Hattan purchased.

They have a property management company. It might have been created purely to manage one property, their previous house, but it shows how they think. Use a letting agent like a regular person? Noooo too expensive! Set up our own property management company.

In her latest vlog she mentions she’s going to Austria soon …How does she have the money? How does she have the time? Don’t think she actually cares that much about Katnipp, obviously just wants to be a travel content creator

She is hoping some big chain shop will want to license her products, like rainylune has her items in Daiso and I think Box Lunch or Barnes & Noble. But her frog brand is way more iconic online than Bumblebutt or Gingie pubes.

She’s definitely modelling herself on rainylune- she follows her from what I can see. And has a bigger following so thinks she’s probably entitled to be licensed.

I wonder how many of Catherine’s followers are down to her characters, though? Not many, I bet.
