Wtf is the tapping on the make up before she puts it on all about? Is it some attempt at ASMR? It looks ridiculous
If you want to see the brand names of the products you can’t because the tapping gets in the way!
I used to love Kate’s blog and followed her renovations with interest. I’m obsessed with tenement flats and romanticise the high ceilings, windows and period features so I appreciate her passion for them too. She has a really good eye and taste level and knows how to curate her belongings for a pleasing shot. The overall effect to me gives off a Birch hotel / members club vibe. It is very Instagram but something most people would enjoy living with I think. Our next door neighbours have a very similar aesthetic, pale woods, West Elm furniture, brass or rose gold and marble, wishbone chairs, whites and soft pinks and greens. Every time we go over there I think it looks so clean and calm somehow, but also it has become quite a generic look now.
I’d love to see her switch up her interiors with the new house, throwing in a few bolder choices rather than just filling the house with gifted items that are all new.
I stopped following her way back when she started posting £1,000 handbags. Now she is grifting for £6,000 sofas. It’s just not relatable AT ALL and a bit tasteless and showy to me, and I say this as someone with friends far far wealthier than Kate. This is not how they spend their money. They are some of the least materialistic people I know.
