For someone who said in her gender video “it isn’t the 1950s anymore”, she certainly goes hard on her 1950’s way of thinking. I know she has a rose tinted glasses view of the world, but the video was very contradictory. The whole ‘boys/men from the older generation wouldn’t behave like that’. But then it was a 75 year old that propositioned the content creator and her friends (I’m pretty sure the story was made up but even so).

Then there was the championing of her dad who’d never let anything happen to a woman on his watch. But it didn’t seem like he did anything to help Kate on holiday when the drunk bloke was getting too much for her.

She then seemed annoyed at the pregnant woman who apparently didn’t accept help from Jeremy Kyle’s dad (stop believing GB News Kate). And put the onus on women to get themselves out of danger by finding a kindly man to rescue them .

I'm watching her video and not to be insensitive, but her story made no sense to me? The guy was drunk and wouldn't leave her and her dad alone?

Is she trying to relate to others here because she hasn't had many experiences of this? I doubt the latter personally; she probably just doesn't really register it because "oh it's just men!"

Also what is it with referring to women as females???

As a ‘female’ being out alone in the dark spooks me, especially if I see a drunk man or multiple. But I take it upon myself to cross the road if I feel wary or find a safer place to be. But just walking out during the day and there’s a man coming towards me is not going to bother me or most women…if they’re being creepy you just leave the area or find another woman to be near.
Also, sorry to any men in this thread but if a man is making me feel unsafe the last thing I’m gonna do is find another strange man. What if they are both dangerous and now they have two of them and can egg each other on? As a teenager I hated teenage boys but now in my 30’s I’m way more likely to go stand near a group of those if I couldn’t find any nearby women than go stand near an older man. Kate is so inexperienced with these things and I think her advice is actually quite dangerous. As kids we are always told to find a police man or a women or someone who looks like a mother. She was probably told to find someone who looks like grandad.

The way she was talking about it actually made me appreciate the men who point out that the expectation for them to cross the road is unfair

Of course I appreciate it if they do but it’s also something I can do…

Speaking of her parroting the views of Val regarding safety. If this is the case, how ridiculous as a couple of weeks ago Val breached loads of common sense safety precautions by filming the outside of their home and route she was walking, making it easily identifiable if someone wished to find them.

I find the whole ‘photo results’ things so fascinating and utterly bizarre. She’s just made up her own rules, and rigidly sticks to a schedule of uploads based around some photo app? And what even are judges merits!? Also the photo she’s uploaded today of the couples wedding.. not sure how I’d feel about someone using a photo of me on my wedding day in a random potentially dodgy app where strangers vote on others pictures!? She’s truly such a character
