Why was she calling herself an orphan?! I’ve never seen these screenshots before. Im a bit new to the Kate King lore as I discovered her after she’d already left socials.

Because 'Granddad' (a man who she knew from Bowls but was no relation) had died. She went on Tiktok live crying and receiving condolences and then we found out he hadn't died, he'd had a stroke, and when she was called on this she said he'd died in her eyes. Then Granddad's family banned her from the funeral after he died a few months later.

2023 was peak Kate to be honest. We had her brief tryst with the 40 year old Morrisons worker (before they broke up due to their hectic schedules - he finished work at 5, she was having her tea and getting ready for bed at 5), Radio Racism Ofcom Scandal, and her Tiktok era...

I’m not surprised she was banned tbh. She was an adult woman sitting on his lap in photos and he was buying her expensive cameras etc.

Very weird relationship. She didn’t grieve him like he was a grandparent, she grieved him like he was a husband!

Have we ever established why she actually left and the real reason for coming back? I know she talked about wanting to come back a lot earlier than she did, everyone made jokes saying Evil Val had banned her from the internet but then she went onto say Mum encouraged her to get back making videos etc.

Do we reckon the reason she’s back is so she can try make a living for herself, as it’s quite evident she’ll never be employed (given the bowls office incident a few years ago)

Basically according to her -

After the Ofcom Racism scandal, the radio station gave her an ultimatum and said she either gets off the internet (her audience were the ones who heard her co-host being racist and reported it to Ofcom) or they wouldn't let her go on the radio again. She chose to get off the internet and keep the radio show.

Apparently this Jan she was getting really stressed out with all the Radio business (not sure how or why) and her family and some various other family friends sat her down and said she should sack off the radio.

Now free of Stoke Mandeville Hospital Radio's shackles, she fancied coming back for entertainment and also (explicitly stated) to try and make some cash. However Kate being Kate, she refuses to do what would actually make her money (like Cameo) and instead just does voice messages to people on Instagram because she doesn't want to do the work of making Cameos despite the voice messages probably being just as much work for zero cash.

She was feeling sassy in that video about her bedtime I find it both hilarious and irritating the way she talks down to people. She goes on about being an adult yet everything is "we." We're early risers, we like this, we do this etc. She acts like her and her parents are all the one person, which I suppose they kind of are since none of them have their own interests and they do everything together. Kate can't make her mind up if she wants to be seen as an old lady or a child.

Perhaps a bit unpopular but I see how stuff that is out of her normal schedule would be overwhelming for her

I work full time and having an appointment or something unexpected come up does feel a little bit like a “mad day”. A schedule is comforting to have!

Her bowls schedule does sound a bit random so I can imagine it constantly messes with her routine even if she is willingly signing up to these things. I also think there’s a level of her constantly trying to relate to the more average person - like when she mentioned a school run and the weather once even though she is not a parent and most likely doesn’t actually do any school runs

obviously when you work full time and may handle childcare as well it is a little bit off putting to hear someone who is just doing hobbies say that their day is hectic

I agree that most of the things people find annoying about Kate is her trying really hard to be normal and like the people she is mimicking. Like when she says random stuff like "us girls, we love (random thing or concept), don't we??" She's just guessing at what is standard behaviour

Soooo many thoughts after watching that. It made me laugh when she said that the men at bowls yesterday did a great job of keeping all the ‘females’ safe. Safe from what? I didn’t realise it was such a dangerous activity

I don’t like the way she basically says the way to stay safe from men is to get another man to help you. I bet she’s never walked alone after dark in her life and she says young girls message her asking her questions about this?!

Also I was howling when she started going on about men walking on the outside of the street and sitting on the outside of the table like they’re legitimate safety tips!

When she said in today’s video that people blocked them/avoided them after they all went through different periods of grief …. I think it’s probably more likely that people found her carry on after “granddad” died bizarre!

I think her new video just shows she has so much anxiety about being on her own and is the reason why she doesn’t leave the house.

And it bothers me to no end when she says boys and females but not males and females.

I’m actually so deeply concerned about the post she got, like yeah MAYBE there was good intentions from that guy. But it just doesn’t sit right with me at all, and I think val thinking it’s sweet is even worse, maybe I think too badly of people’s intentions. I think a few sweet treats is one thing, but to go and get a mug custom made with a photo…. It’s just weird? I’m just glad they didn’t give him their address.
