He’d hate our local parkruns, all of them lots of people run with their dogs. Imagine he’d complain about that too (even though they’re on a lead).Bester complaining about people taking their dogs to the park during parkrun, where else are they going to take their dogs for a walk in a city on a Saturday morning. He's probably worried about people walking their dogs during his race in a public park. Yes, having dogs run after you is not great but if you are going to run in a public park in the city you have to expect this.

Exactly, that's a really poor turn out for a London race, our local fun run gets more entries.
19 runners (14 from the 10k and 5 from the 5k) were Best Athletics registered. Wonder if they had to pay to enter....
It’s an over saturated market, even post Covid. There’s loads of races, especially in and around London. No one needs his crappy little 5k and 10k ego boosters

Whaaat is there going to be a Battersea parkrun? Now that is an event doomed for failure if ever I heard of one….
Oh yeah supposed to launch in spring/ summer. They got approval from the council. Bester has been raving about it already.
Why do you think it will fail?
Fail was probably the wrong word, but I can imagine it’ll attract thousands upon thousands every week and with Bester and his mob of idiots racing around I’m sceptical that it’ll achieve the intent of encouraging the local community to come and take part in physical activity in an un-intimidating and inclusive setting…

I’m surprised there isn’t one at Battersea anyway but agree, Bester will think it’s his and his blue and white twit army will take over every week (running, not volunteering).

I think he said he is “pacing” 2:45 at London. Manchester is probably next target race or Berlin again?

And yeah I honestly feel for those poor volunteers trying to get a Parkrun off the ground there. It will be huge.
