I really dislike this woman

I fell for the sales pitch 3 years ago in a sleep deprivation haze with 45min wake ups for 3 months and it never worked and my 3.5yr old still doesn’t sleep

however my reflux 9month old has slept through since 4 months and I’ve done nothing differently so it truly is due to temperament and baby’s personality and all these money grabbing sleep consultants preying on vulnerable new mums (and dads)
Did you tell them their programme didn’t work? I would love to know the percentage of customers who bought the packages and it failed. I agree with you it’s down to the baby there is no magic programme solution.

She’s posted a couple of strange posts recently that have been swiftly deleted. I suppose following feedback. One was something along the lines of ‘boys have a special bond with their mothers and girls have a special bond with their fathers’ and then one quoting a random statistic saying mother’s having poor sleep were less bonded to their baby at 6 months. Really weird given she’s meant to be reassuring people, showing a real lack of judgement.

So I used to find her sleep advice really useful when I had my daughter in 2016. Flash forward to my recent newborn and WOW she's a twat. She preys on rich or celeb pregnant women by commenting, or on celebs with newborns. She barely gives any free advice anymore. There are ssoooooo many amazing insta sleep coaches now who give you so much free stuff as well as AFFORDABLE sleep guides that are up to date and not so old fashioned and based on the real science of sleep (my new fav is cozybabysleep but we all love takingcarababies too). Long story short, she's pretentious and like others have said it's all about business rather than actually helping people.
Oh definitely! Hopefully people will start to see her for the power hungry madam she really is. Might be totally wrong because I don’t even follow her but isn’t takingcarababies another one who uses crying methods in her course?

I remember the days. It is so tough but they will eventually get there. My baby woke like 10 times a night and slowly got better after 16 months. I looked to just chill mama and ALMOST bought a course but I decided after looking at all her advice to just stop stressing and obsessing about sleep. I gave in to co-sleeping and didn’t track how many times my baby woke up. Got family to help with nights at the weekend so id have one solid night sleep. It was shit but I survived. I prefer the sleep influencers who make it clear that babies don’t sleep through and don’t charge money for courses.
4 more months to go 🤣 we’re only on 2 teeth so I feel like that will unsettle her each time too. How does baby B magically never get ill or wake in pain? Mine wakes with trapped wind if she eats too many grapes, lentils, teething, rsv, reflux, chest infection 😰😰

she is def reading this.
She’s just asked herself a question about whether self soothing is damaging!!
She’s replied to herself over 3 pages!
And then screen shotted a DM to back herself up. Hold on Hun... We thought you were too important to read DMS?!
The stuff about the cot bumpers...giving basic health & safety advice and having a go Lauren Goodgyer (an easy target) does not make you a PHD.
Stop preying on isolated and exhausted new mums!

I wish I had but never bothered! Honestly the drama I went through to try and get my eldest to sleep was worse than the sleep deprivation and she never slept well until about 3 months ago still with 1-2 wakes a night at nearly 4!!
Do we have the same child 😂😂 I agree I stressed myself out more reading all these sleep trainers advice posts and was very tempted to spend hundreds of the programmes but I couldn't bring myself to part with the money 😂.

She’s fawning over and congratulating a woman who just basically sold her child’s confidential, private medical information to millions. Disgusting.

I feel like she’s really changed her tune on these, a few weeks ago in a Q&A she slated the snoo saying they were dangerous, went against lullaby trust advice and made parents miss feeding ques 🤔 put a link to the lullaby trust every time, and now this? I wonder if she got a load of stick for slating them and now is trying to go back to being holier than thou?! 😂
Wow she has changed her tune!! Obviously one of her influencer clients is using one and she doesn’t want to upset them 🤣 she’s a knob.

Oooh I didn’t know there was a thread about her but saw she posted about tattle and had to come have a look.
I’m ashamed to say but I also bought two of her courses, 6-9 and 18-4yrs. I kind of new I was being suckered even when buying them but you live in hope. The quality is shocking. Like they didn't even get proofread.
I think it’s the routine part and timings that most people need help with. Not shushing and patting.
What did she post about tattle? Her thread is mainly discussing how “sleep consultant” take advantage of sleep deprived parents. Did you find any of her courses helpful?

I saw Kate Lawler followed her plans and advice and her baby isn’t the perfect sleeper so it hasn’t worked for her . It’s good to have a realistic mum like Kate to follow who is honest about what actually goes on and who other mums can relate to.
