I have a lot of empathy for Perri.

A family member of mine is a bit like Jesy and as much as it feels mean to say, these personalities are so exhausting to be around. It really can drain the life from you.

I'm glad I'm not in contact with them any more, sometimes you do have to get away and stay away.

Jesy’s mum and sister seem like absolute enablers and don’t seem the types who would talk sense to her or give her valuable advice that would encourage her to take accountability. I can imagine if someone ever said something negative about her actions they would likely be branded as ‘jealous’ or ‘haters’ ..They have likely doubled down on this too now that she has children. Am I wrong in thinking her mum and sister’s lives seem to just revolve around Jesy? No wonder Jesy has always been so self involved.

They weren’t supportive to Jesy but Jade joked on the documentary she got jealous that they had a stronger sisterly bond

I think anyone who’s had a person like Jesy in their life eventually feels resentful for the way they were manipulated, even if they didn’t realise it at the time.

I bet everyone walked on eggshells around her, fearful of the next bad mood or flounce; constantly having to offer comfort or reassurance, bending backwards to make things OK for her, at the expense of their own needs. Poor Jesy, it’s not her fault, she doesn’t mean to, she really struggles with her mental health…

It’s toxic AF. Emotional vampires.

The constant narrative that Jesy was bullied and tormented for the way she looks is enough to make you think she was like the Elephant Man or something. And I don’t deny that she copped a lot of flak for being “fat” or “ugly”, but by the same token, she doesn’t come across like a woman who doesn’t love her own reflection

She's permanently stuck in teenager mode, enabled by Mum. She dresses like a teenager and acts like one.

I don't know how on earth she's coping with motherhood - but from the amount of free time she has to film herself I'd say she's got Mum living in and I wouldn't be surprised if there are nannies too. No woman with nails like that does much hands on baby care.

I actually think the other girls stayed quiet for far too long and it allowed Jesy to spin her poor me victim narrative and have everyone buy into it without getting the other side(s) of the story. What Perrie said was long overdue.

There is only so much you can do for someone else if they aren’t willing to take accountability and start helping themselves.

I think @maytoseptember hit the nail on the head with the term emotional vampire. I’ve spent time with quite a few of those types of people and it’s exhausting because they suck the life and energy out of everything and everyone.

That's why she didn't need the girls' Dad too. He seemed like a lovely guy. She's babied and enabled by her family. She'd be screwed if anything happened to her mother.

Its like she feels she's allowed to speak, do documentaries but yet the girls are not allowed to speak about it or discuss their feelings on the matter. Perrie was not disrespectful she just explained how she felt which was long overdue. Jesy likes to play the martyr and its embarrassing

What Perrie said also makes sense if the girls confronting jest about the balckfishing was true. So funny of jesys family to say the girls were not supportive enough ... Where were you?

I said the same earlier in the thread. Had a feeling she had ended it but she was quite happy to let people bash him all over the internet for being a crap dad and abandoning them when that clearly wasn't the case. Just awful.

Also they found out in Oct/Nov i think it was, they were split by the Jan, she didn't give him much chance to get his head round things did she. Who wouldn't have trouble getting to grips with that diagnosis. Can't imagine breaking up with the person i've just agreed to marry because they are having trouble dealing with something as life changing as that.

She only needs her mum. It sounds like she does everything for her and the babies so she didn't need him. I think they'd still be together if it wasn't for her mother. I hope he's still a big part of their life though.
