Agreed with above. They were on-off before the added stress of children, let alone two that need extra care. Fingers crossed he’s still going to be very much there in their lives and this is just what they needed to do to parent together.

Jesy has been very open about her MH struggles in the past - add in a complex pregnancy and now disabled children, that would push most strong relationships to the brink and over. Reading the comments online about him on the DM article - they're very unkind, and a split doesn't mean that he isn't going to be an involved father. Surely it's better to be in a good co-parenting relationship than a barely functioning romantic relationship.

Maybe it was Jesy who ended the relationship?
Maybe she just doesn’t have the emotional and physical capacity to be in a relationship atm?
Why is the assumption that he is a deadbeat dad who has walked away when she needs him most

Yeah, I think it'd take a pretty rock-solid relationship for maintaining one to not just be another job on top of everything else they're both already dealing with. I don't blame them for needing to drop one ball to keep all the other ones going.

Anyone confused why the DM are claiming they were together 4 years? They weren’t together anywhere near that long and they were broken up already when she found out she was pregnant and then they got back together. It’s all very sad but they likely wouldn’t have stayed together regardless without all the trauma on top. He has always come across as very childish. She was in hospital on bed rest and he was more concerned with making Tik Toks jumping around like an idiot and is still concerned with making Tik Toks. I just find it bizarre. No idea whose choice it is but regardless it isn’t a surprise. Hopefully he will still be there and won’t continue to try and make content from the sad situation.

Only just remembered Zion is almost a decade younger than Jesy. It’s likely he isn’t mature enough to deal with everything and also be a good partner (judging by what we‘ve seen). It realistically was a fling that ended up resulting in a pregnancy. He’s young and it’s evidenced by the way he behaves online. It must be such a shock for both of them. I hope the babies just get a lot of love from them both even if they aren’t together.

I just think she’s the type to do anything stay relevant. I’m never comfortable with celebs exploiting their Children, who have no say in it. She’ll deffo mask it all as “Oh I’m trying to raise awareness” and if she’s pulled up on anything the ole Mental Health card will come out.

You can be an active parent and still do other stuff though, Zion can easily parent them while she’s doing that interview. Of course the documentary is a publicity thing but I don’t think her trying to get laws changed is a bad thing

How frustrating for the families and charities who have probably been begging to be listened to for years on end and only now a celebrity is affected does somebody take notice. I’m sure they will be glad at least something’s happening but it must feel like they were invisible.

And that’s not Jesy’s fault, and it’s better she does something than not at all, especially if as a result they add SMA to newborn screening.

But why does it take a celebrity to make meaningful change? That’s the issue here. How many other families affected by SMA has Streeting met before now?
