Jeffrey Epstein

Mandelson has now been booted out of the House of Lords - highly irregular, apparently.
What next for him? Misconduct in public office? Custodial sentence?
Telegraph now reporting - that Epstein was transferring 4k a month, into Mandelson’s husbands account.
I hope so. How many times has he had to resign in his career now, 3 times? Scumbag.

But like others it sickens me that it's only Andrew, Fergie and Mandelson that have been exposed.

Seriously, how hard is it for people to be honest in public life?

And I don't believe Mandelson when he talks about being gay and therefore wasn't involved with the girls at Epstein's places, that's pure deflection. Epstein knew what people liked, you're not telling me there weren't men/boys bought in for people too.

And I'd like to say we deserve better from our MP's but people voted this shower of rit in. Starmer is no better, he should go because of the Ukrainian boys who firebombed his homes and car. Labour are worse than the Tories ever knew how to be.

I read yesterday that the Prime Minister was unable to remove him from the House of Lords... but it gave me the impression he wanted him removed....

The latest report I've seen said Mandelson resigned rather than was booted, but my knowledge in this area isn't great.

From a quick Google, it says that he can resign from HoL but will keep his peerage? I don't know what benefits this means he can still get....

How he can deny knowledge of his partner receiving cash directly each month from Epstein is shocking.....

He will be one of many though, and focus will now be on him, when there's probably lots of these vile individuals out there..... it makes me very sad.....but nothing surprises me anymore 😐 😒

ETA
Just adding some documents from BBC news adding more detail and stating that Downing Street are acting to get the peerage removed from Mandelson
Surely if they can remove a Prince's title,they can remove a Lord's? 🤷‍♂️

It was the King who stripped Andrew's titles, not the government. Unfortunately there isn't a current mechanism to strip Lord's titles though there should be, the thinking probably if you get a loose cannon like Trump in they could abuse it to pass their unpopular policies by ousting any opposing it.

I’ve not followed this from the start, I’ve watched a few new pieces and read a few headlines and wow, just wow. How on Earth does this actually happen? I like to keep a bit of naivety otherwise my head would explode, but Jesus, how many people are involved here!!?
On a more flippant note- how does this type of thing evolve? Like with any criminal partners, how do these conversations start whereby you’re agreeing to grape children and murder babies or all the other heinous tit they’ve been doing? And how was there not one person at the very beginning of it all, saying something, when there were less powerful people involved? How did they prove they were depraved enough? I just find it all absolutely compelling! I wish they’d stop drip feeding it all though, as if it’s an entertaining series.

Last week, I read about Sascha Riley, a young boy trafficked by Epstein. I've no doubt other boys were available for those who wanted them. (ETA this is my first venture into this thread so apologies if Sascha's already been discussed.)

Warning - It's a hard read, and took me down a rabbit hole that hit me bad. I don't get affected by things as bad as some people do, but I had nightmares and a very low mood for days. Those poor kids.

I think he had powerful people in the palm of his hands through compromising material and/or knowledge, so he could ensure mutually assured destruction if anyone was to speak out. With his staff, it would be NDAs, and with the victims it would be your usual grooming and threats. With regards to those who shared his disgusting perverted deviances, those kinds of people do seem able to find each other somehow. Plus Ghislaine was connected to all sorts of prominent people from day 1, so he had her as a partner in crime, and also there are traffickers he paid to get girls from around the world who would also have other clients who he could be hooked up with I guess?

I just don’t know how he starts? I’d almost like a series about him after becoming a teacher, but without the actual content if that makes sense

Oh I see. I think he was sponsored early on as an intelligence operative. They would have funded him and put him in positions where he was able - encouraged, even - to get away with anything.

Admittedly I’ve only read a very vague biography, but he left school, became a teacher without a degree, then becomes some really important agent? 🤣 Honestly, the less I know the better.

This was the guy who it is said hired him to be a teacher - served in the Office of Strategic Services, and the year before Epstein started working for him, he published "a science fiction novel about a planet ruled by oligarchs who engage in child sex slavery".

With everything that's coming out about all the people he could have taken down while alive there is no way he killed himself. I never believed he did anyway but it feels like it's more obvious than ever his 'suicide' was a murder.

I'm thinking of the victims a lot today.
