So basically every government is connected via JE. This is absolutely wild.
Brrrrrrrrr, looks chilly in MoscowI don't think we can take that as fact. It's the only mention of him being Putin's wealth manager in the entire lot of documents. And Epstein famously couldn't even get a Russian visa (Mandelson offered to help in this regard but it never happened).
Many, not all.So basically every government is connected via JE. This is absolutely wild.
I would think that he would not have been Putin's wealth manager as such though it's entirely likely that he had a hand in brokering deals or even to handle investments, channelling money through western institutions etc but this would have been in addition to Putin's own dodgy money handlers that he already had available.I don't think we can take that as fact. It's the only mention of him being Putin's wealth manager in the entire lot of documents. And Epstein famously couldn't even get a Russian visa (Mandelson offered to help in this regard but it never happened).
Which raises questions about Mandelson failing to get him a visa, seems like either this ended up not being a problem or someone else managed to get it for him or he got it for himself, or only needed a tourist visa anyway and not whatever special sponsored visa Mandelson might have been offering.Brrrrrrrrr, looks chilly in Moscow![]()
We know he had fake passports too.Which raises questions about Mandelson failing to get him a visa, seems like either this ended up not being a problem or someone else managed to get it for him or he got it for himself, or only needed a tourist visa anyway and not whatever special sponsored visa Mandelson might have been offering.
I’ve just finished it. It’s weird with her Mum, VG suggested that her mother was aware of the abuse but turned a blind eye because she was an alcoholic.Does she talk about her relationship with mum? why she wasnt being looked after properly?
So did he sell his shares knowing it was going under?
I think he had to sell his interest when he became Ambassador to the US.So did he sell his shares knowing it was going under?

And especially during war time. Kids often go missing during or when trying to escape countries at war. Recently there's the awful syrian (?) story of nasty folks paying to shoot kids for fun.@Dotty Merton
Thanks for sharing....
Bit of a random non direct link that I thought of, see attachment and below....
Have you ever seen a film called Sunshine and Oranges? It's based on a true story of a social worker in Nottinghamshire in the 80s, who found out that children were being shipped to Australia and being abused. They were in children's homes, some had only been placed there temporarily, but when parents went to get them back, they were lied to about where they were. It's years since I watched the film and read about it, but I think the Government knew about it all and helped cover it up.
I know that's not related to Epstein, but basically it's why non of this surprises me. It's happened for years on varying levels. Children treated as objects and used and abused, especially the ones from vulnerable families.

I wonder if that was one of the mysteriously disappearing and reappearing files (though again, we don't know if 'reappear' actually means reappearing unchanged or if the number went up because some disappeared and returned with some unspecified differences of content).Documents show agents spoke to the woman at least four times in 2019, but only one interview summary remains publicly accessible on the Justice Department's Epstein library website.
I had wondered - it must have been one hell of a deal, the information she provided leading to the arrest of hundreds of Epstein's associates, and enabling victims to be contacted such that they could give evidence for a successful prosecution...?Lesley Groff was JE's executive assistant for years and I believe she was offered immunity in exchange for information. Maybe that's why they went back in and redacted her name (although clearly too little too late because everyone knows her name is all over the files by now).
Epstein described payment to "Mette" of $20,000
The Crown Princess has not received money or agreed to receive money from Epstein, the Palace says.
"The agreement is as follows: Eclipse LLC pays the seller 6.25 million net. On top of that comes a fee of two percent to be paid to Shelly and Mette and divided, 20,000 for Mette and 100,000 for Shelley."
That's what Jeffrey Epstein wrote on February 1, 2014, according to the new documents released from the Epstein investigation.
Subsequent emails to and from Epstein the same day and the next day indicate that it was a real estate transaction.
“The developer is requesting the identity of the buyer of the contract, do you wish to use an LLC?” an unknown person writes to Epstein the next day.
LLC is an American form of company.
VG has asked the Palace about what appears in the email.
"The Crown Princess has not received money or agreed to receive money from Epstein, either for her personally or for funds or foundations she has been involved in," the Palace responds.
Happened during the time Epstein had contact with the Crown Princess
VG does not know whether Crown Princess Mette-Marit is mentioned in the email.
The email was sent during a period when the two were in contact.
VG has not yet found any other Mette mentioned in the documents during the same period.
Until Friday, the Palace's explanation was that the Crown Princess broke off contact with Epstein in 2013.
On Friday evening, the Palace first admitted that contact continued into January 2014.
Then the Palace corrected itself again and confirmed that the contact continued until at least the summer of 2014, after VG reported how the two planned a meeting in New York in June 2014.
So basically no-one cares if she did anything unlawful and she is expected to carry on as usual, visiting her son in prison (I wonder if this whole thing has anything to do with him turning into a sex offender)... In other words, there will be no consequences for her whatsoever.Palm Beach vacation: Who paid for the dentist, the hairdresser, and the driver?
The palace has still not responded to whether the crown princess received goods or services from Jeffrey Epstein, beyond the fact that she borrowed his house in Palm Beach in 2013.
Several people are now under investigation for benefits they may have received through their friendship with multi-billionaire Jeffrey Epstein. Crown Princess Mette-Marit is not among them.
The palace stated in late January that she borrowed Epstein's Palm Beach residence for four days in 2013.
In this regard, VG asked whether Epstein had in any way financed other expenses for the Crown Princess.
The palace then replied that she had not received any monetary gifts:
– The Crown Princess has not received money or agreed to receive money from Epstein, neither for her personally nor for funds or foundations she has been involved with.
VG has since sent several inquiries to the Palace to get an answer as to whether the Crown Princess has received any other forms of benefits, such as goods or services.
In response, VG receives the following from Communications Manager Guri Varpe at the Royal Court:
– The Crown Princess herself wishes to tell about what happened and explain herself in more detail. In the meantime, we do not wish to respond to details related to the case.
More services during your stay
Released documents in the Epstein case show that he arranged several services for the crown princess during her Palm Beach stay in 2013.
VG and other media have previously asked the Palace whether it is true that Epstein helped the Crown Princess with a dental appointment for teeth whitening. Communications Manager Varpe then replied:
– Epstein recommended a dentist, but teeth whitening was not part of the treatment.
However, the palace has not answered questions about who paid for the dental treatment.
VG has met the dentist, Andrew Adelson, who had the Crown Princess as a patient in 2013. He remembers the consultation well, but states that he does not know who paid for the appointment.
The documents also show that the crown princess agreed to be picked up by Epstein's driver at the airport. It also appears that Epstein's regular hairdresser was called to cut her hair at the house in Palm Beach.
The Palace has also not responded to who paid for the driver service and the hairdresser.

The hairdresser, Phillipe Barr, has told VG that he has been the Crown Princess's hairdresser on at least two occasions.
Shopping in New York
The documents in the Epstein case also show that Epstein planned a shopping trip for "Princess Mette" and his former Swedish ex-girlfriend, Eva Andersson-Dubin, on March 27, 2013.
From bank statements, TV2 found that Epstein paid $3,950 that day to the exclusive department store Bergdorf Goodman:

VG has not received a response from the Palace as to whether Mette-Marit received any goods from Epstein that day.
...
Professor of criminal law, Jo Martin Stigen, has previously stated that he believes it is unlikely that Crown Princess Mette-Marit will be investigated.
– I don't think that will happen. Nothing that has come to light indicates that she has committed anything criminal, Stigen has said.
Law professor Eivind Smith shares this assessment. He cannot see that any information has emerged that suggests that the Crown Princess had anything to offer Epstein in exchange for any gifts or services.
– Apart from the shine she casts on him, then. A Norwegian crown princess has no public authority and decides over little else but her own life, according to Smith.
In addition, princes and princesses have special protection under the Constitution , which in practice means that the King must approve any investigation:
"The royal princes and princesses shall not be responsible for their persons to anyone other than the King or whomever he appoints as judge over them."
Both professors nevertheless believe it is unlikely that the king would oppose an investigation if the prosecution were to find grounds to initiate one.
I'll admit to not being a database/search expert but the search facility really does seem to have some of the oddest quirks, how normal is it that a search will fail not by dropping dead but by limping back with only the stuff it could throw in a bag in a hurry?I cannot see all the results. It lists around 60 pages of results but I can only see until about 30 and then the last three pages. If I try to see the rest of it, it goes to "no results" and I have to search again. Soooo... there's about 30 pages of results that for whatever reason, I cannot see.
I wonder if the database is “live” in that it’s being constantly updated and documents being redacted and unredeacted dependent on law suits !I'll admit to not being a database/search expert but the search facility really does seem to have some of the oddest quirks, how normal is it that a search will fail not by dropping dead but by limping back with only the stuff it could throw in a bag in a hurry?
It's certainly not normal that files are disappearing and then coming back different.
