A fight is said to have broke out outside the Papagayo Beach Club, where Jay seen partying on June 17, shortly after it closed.
An Eastern European man involved in the scuffle allegedly had his pricey Rolex watch stolen, according to the Daily Mail.
It is unclear exactly how Jay's disappearance might be linked to the incident - but officers are reportedly examining CCTV footage from the security cameras.
One of Jay's pals who has flown to Tenerife to help in the search told detectives the alleged theft may have led to the Lancashire lad wandering off on his own to try and find the watch.



Jay's friend now making out he was a concerned citizen who MIGHT have went off to find this random persons watch that was stolen..

So weeks later, they’ve suddenly discovered there was a fight. At a well attended club, where workers would still be hanging around and this is the first they’ve heard of a fight after?! Especially these days, there’s a fight and someone starts filming! And one of the first things they’d have been doing was searching cctv, so they never noticed a fight before? Odd, suspicious or just idiot detectives?

Crying because he thinks he can run and do a better search but has been moaning about having no ropes all week, he just wants the attention and all eyes on him and because he wasn’t getting that he’s cried like a baby and stormed off, I wish he would bleeping get stuck to a cactus!!…

and as for mentioning he is thinking about ringing the Scottish mountain rescue to come over and doing a GFM… why doesn’t he use some of his money (around 10k he has made on TT) or ask Debbie the dosser to use her GFM to pay for them to come over.
