Jay Slater's mum calls for internet trolls law after teen's death

The mother of a teenager who died in Tenerife is campaigning for Jay's Law to help prevent the online trolling of grieving families.

Back in the news today because his mum is demanding (even more) restrictions on online comments in response.

I’m not saying it’s right but some of the conspiracy theories, they themselves added fuel to the fire to with their behaviour. The GFM being nothing to do with them, then it being for food & accommodation. The friends flying out to help search yet they never got further than the bar showing the England match. The hate towards the police/ rescuers because they were Spanish.

The whole saga was brilliant but I will never forget the person who told us they’d heard (maybe on YouTube?) that Debbie and her family owned a Scottish village, and a castle(?) and they’d all gone up there to discuss what had gone on in a barber shop and ayub was also there but was excluded from the group.

I crack up every time I think about it, I’m crying even typing this.

My fav part was defo this thread in general and the comedic geniuses and Salad. I still laugh every time someone in work is being melancholic and says “alas” all dramatic and no one knows why

Lads. 7:30am and I’m howling . The whole entire part was my favourite bit. All of it. DTR skulking in the background like slender man was brilliant. The Scottish castle. The guy fuming at being found. The woman in the mobo scooter wanting to join the search…. Just all of it. Superb
