I started following Janet around the time she did the trans Siberian and thought that she offered something different and much more engaging than your standard travel influencer. Needless to say, I lost interest during covid with the way she acted by coming home, complaining non stop about how this had impacted her life and then taking off again as soon as she could get a seat. It’s unfortunate as I thought she was one of the good ones.
Is she going to build a new villa? Is this her new business: building villas to let? I really admired her for the unapologetic way she lived her life, focusing on travel & gaining experience instead of following conventional life path of getting a 9-5 job, a relationship, buying a house, etc. Is she just reverting to type now?

.Yes. She is often extremely moany and she can't seem to cope with the realities of travel to less touristy places sometimes or places that are not in Asia, like Mexico she couldn't handle at all.
She hasn't done any research for this trip, which obviously in place that is less touristy is necessary. Loads of countries aren't set up for tourism or backpackers. I even remember in Myanmar which a good lot of backpackers go to, it was difficult and expensive to rent motorbikes. Yes, the place you are in is not like Bali, what a revelation
