think it's just paper talk.

Don't get me wrong their house is lovely.. but I don't think they are anywhere near as rich as the other Inbetweeners, and being married to a lazy wife that won't work doesn't help.

Im really hoping as an animal lover that if and when they return they actually sit down sensibly and discuss with viewers what actually happened with Paisley
At the end of the day their audience are adults and they were a five in a sense, im pretty sure she was even on the cover of their book so I think a discussion about pet loss and their experience would be really good.

Overall I like Clair and James and they clearly loved her but if I'm totally honest I found it hard not to judge when in some her last appearances Paisley was looking VERY out of condition and panting heavily just walking around the house she also seemed to be struggling badly with her weight on her walk with James
I genuinely thought at the time that poor dog is going to end up pegging out with a heart attack
Obviously it could of been something long term that they hadn't shared but I hope they realise that we don't expect every vlog has to be daft and jokey it's ok to vlog and give us a bit of genuine reality .

Totally agree with you. Both myself and partner are in well paid jobs but no way would we take risks and potentially bankrupt ourselves. I just dont understand their mentality, he can be very tight fisted until it comes to spending on himself and Claire ordeting Greggs and Costa for delivery,multiple take ways,yet advertising Hello Fresh. They no longer come across as the happy couple who started vlogging a few years ago. I think James saw covid as an excuse to no work and got used to it, they play he did was constantly moaned about because he couldn't stay at home. He says he wants to be with his family but leaves Clair to take the boys out while he stays at home ,sleeps or watches tv. He prioritises his socialising with his mates then spends the weekend sleeping off hangovers and sleeping in the guest room

Supposedly yes,but the wsy they dpend its probably already gone. He has an agent snd as 'the Buckleys' they have a management company, who need paying. The vlog was really popular and they just stopped,Claire could have continued while he was in the play, supposedly they have lots of celebrity friends she voild havr interviewed them. They just dont seem interested anymore

Woah her face I'm being cynical but wonder if all this time off was not just for Paisley but for the work she has had done to settle.
She's starting to look like Charlotte Crosby.

I genuinely felt sad for her. James on the other hand is a complete twat. Sorry but all the money in the world wouldn't be enough for me to tolerate his alcoholic selfish behaviour

Yeah I think for Clair Paisley was her girl, you can imagine when the boys are at school all day and James goes off to tit about as he puts it that her and Paisley had each other there all the time, shes probably really feeling Paisleys absence the most .

James imo is like many men anything be it children or a much loved pet that takes attention off themselves they just seem to bounce back when they go...... arseholes.

You've hit the nail on the head. I've not always been Claires biggest fan, but now I'm starting to wonder,if it's not that she's lazy but she's lost her identity. She's James's wife and Jude and Harrisons mum, previously she had her own career,now James seems to treat her like a housekeeper. I think I'd become disillusioned if I lived with James. He seems to enjoy the trappings of fame and recognition but appears to spend more time socialising with friends than his wife

New to this thread I actually like James and Clair but agree with some comments here.

I'm not surprised James struggles for acting jobs. I think The Inbetweeners was a poison chalice in that nobody can really see past it. He'll always be 'Jay from the Inbetweeners' no matter what and I don't think he is a good enough actor to distance himself from it.

I like Clair but agree she could be doing something more worthwhile with her time. She seems like an an excellent mum but that can't be her whole identity. What will she do when the boys grow up and move out?

This recent vlog James couldn't even hide his begging for Oasis tickets. It's hysterical the way he bangs on about 'working' as if he's the only man/father to work. He spent over 2 years sat on his backside with no work,now he works for a few months last year and this year,he feels hard done to. Just a personal bug bare Claire eating on camera, because of her lip fillers she can't eat properly with her mouth closed,makes me feel ill,mind you James isn't much better,but he clearly has zero table manners instead of lip fillers. Once again not properly declaring gifted items, their management tesm should be telling them they need to mark the vlog with gifted,in old vlogs they've had gifted weekend breaks and not properly declared them,almost comes across as an entitlement to all the freebies

I reckon if they're not loaded then they're at least set for a comfortable life. Similar to Zoe Sugg. Once you've made all your money and had advisors telling you where to put it, you're laughing. James probably doesn't work much because he doesn't need to, same as Zoe.

So wierd. I absolutely loved their vlogs not so long ago. And especially during lockdown.
Now I've got such a massive ick about them both I haven't watched the last few. I can't put my finger on what it is. I think they seem cynical about it all? Fair enough but just stop then?

I dont think they're the happy couple they have tried to portray. I think Claire has issues with him being away. If you compare the first 18 months to now, theres a big change in their rapport.

I noticed that disappeared from their shelving unit after so many people voiced how disrespectful it seemed. I think they're mindful of how they come across and I partly think that's why Claire seems so uncomfortable vlogging. The more i watch older vlogs, the more I notice controlling and jealous aspects of James behaviour. He's definitely bone idol and very selfish.
