Those of us who need to cut corners are already doing it and those who aren't but need to, need more practical advice and support than your £20 baskets of utter deceit and whingeing at middle class festivals about how people are mean to you.

Went to go check if Google search volume for Jack had increased this weekend, it hasn’t, but interesting compared the past 12 months with the past 90 days (or 3 months) that whilst Jack Monroe tattle has been her highest search query in both periods, the discrepancy between that term and “Jack Monroe recipes” has widened significantly (pls see attached images). Then thought why not compare the two lifetime, and look, what a sight! Pretty much since the inception of these threads we’ve had more interest than her slop. The steep incline in that line suggests her tattle has been at its most searched for over the last couple of weeks…. Makes u think!

I think HH2 was a big turning point. It contained nonsense that didn't require an honorary degree in Jack Monroe Lore to see through. Followed quickly by Molly was like a one-two punch. People were emboldened to take the piss out of rinsed hoops and Jack lost control of the narrative.

I dont think the pdf is helping matters at all, they ate alerting more people to it, they have snarked at a few posters and they are hiding peoples replies. It all looks dodgy as hell. Imagine seeing a pdf put out a post about someone in their troop being trolled and then hiding the replies, that are bascially people asking the same question or making the same complaint.

Imagine tescos putting out a product, saying something like some of you dislike it but we love it , and then hiding the replies of people saying, the product is faulty, damaged, doesnt work.... i mean you would be hard pushed to buy it wouldnt you

I know its offtopic but its about monetising exposure. When I was young and foolish I ended up on the ffront cover of the daily mail(pre-internet) for something which my employer did not approve of but which was justified. Anyway in the weeks where I was at home having gone off sick having narrowly avoided suspension, my post stopped for a couple of days. Then it arrived. In three sacks. Some of it just addressed with my name and home town. I had to sit and go through that post, cards and money money money. Fivers, tenners, coins taped to cards. It was hundreds of pounds from one Daily Mail headline pre-internet. We underestimate what exposure national media gives and what it means to be a made into a national symbol and how much revenue there is in just recognition.

On a bit of a tangent its quite interesting that the age of the internet and social media mean gossip about a celebrity now has to be done anonymously whereas large scale grifting of that kind of exposure is done openly.
