I am really pee'd off by the CPS reference. If SB is with Jack and she has been attending rehab whilst suffering with her mental health, there is no way she does not already have some level of involvement with SS, if this is the case she would not be calling it CPS, nor would she call it that if there had been a referral, so I call bullshit on it. Also, if someone here did actually contact SS, they did the right thing if SB was living with her as Jack has admitted she wasn't coping whilst she had SB in her care.

My family has some involvement with SS as my sister in law had a breakdown and was almost sectioned but a family member was able to move in to look after her and the children. SS became involved after that to ensure my SIL could cope, SS do not take children if they are loved and cared for. My eldest niece has a disabled child, she is a single parent, SS are always involved if you have a disabled child, my niece has asked for extra support so SS have provided it for her in various forms. SS are not the big scary child snatchers, they are there to help, something which Jack clearly needs.

These threads actually kicked off with the JO pile on, when she really went for him, before that, it was only one thread, from what I remember. DKL was the result of her pile on. Thankfully JO is well enough insulated to have seemingly been unaffected by the hoarders of twits that joined Jack in her tirade against him.

Jack has been really clever in the article, stating we talk about her looks, her adenoids and her other conditions but she doesn't mention that we believe her to be a liar, a grifter, an awful cook and a bully., amongst other things.

Too many threads on Tattle are solely focused on calling people fat and ugly. There, I said it. But this is literal life or death stuff that she is cashing in on. Anyway we all know this but I’m uncomfortable with the idea that we’re just obsessed weirdos and for new readers I want to clarify my position.

A lot of her new timeline and behaviours from last year makes sense. In that it ‘adds up’ and maps a definite trajectory of chaoses and poor judgement. But almost like it’s all been planned and orchestrated in order to facilitate a back story for this new redemption arc.

Like most of us here, I do genuinely wish her well in whatever recovery she’s going through. The story of Jack Monroe will keep on going though - to her there’s no other main character more compelling.

She also failed to mention that she got DKL after having a tantrum over Jamie Oliver, and lied about her hat being in the ring for it when in fact it was created by his own production company. No mention of the fact that she was off the wagon yet claiming sobriety at the same time, also was so addicted to reading here that she couldn't resist joining us. No mention of why we talk about her, obvs. And when she venerably opened up to her sponsor about sexual abuse, but forgot to mention that she spewed all the details on Twitter with no trigger warning.
If that's not enough she doesn't explain why she claims poverty and takes money for nothing from her “fans” when in fact she has been/is in a very VERY privileged position.

Please no one feel sorry for her, she's a master manipulator.

Mother Hen behaviour in a rehab and detox setting should not be encouraged, or at least it wouldn't be in a reputable organisation. Baking for others, too, especially when there's issues of control, disordered eating, and addiction. Because with Jack it wouldn't be baking once or twice, it'd be bombardment. It's narcy and manipulative; she knows it's hard to confront someone when they're always doing things for you.

I did some more self-reflection (you should try it, Jack - and no, I don't mean looking at yourself in a gift-bearing puddle) surrounding my reaction to the titmas article and I have concluded that making us feel terrible was mostly her aim. I don't appreciate being emotionally manipulated and I feel stupid that I fell for it, however briefly. If she decides to pull a Sali Hughes and interview her trolls, I would stand by everything I have said and would turn up with a lever arch folder full of every unflattering photoshop I have made. Go and kiss a fish you reprobate.

I know this is the least of her lies in the Diva article but she says that telling her parents she was in rehab was one of the most difficult things she had to do. It implies that they would have been shocked that she has issues with alcohol. Surely they were aware already due to the fact that she had a fuck off massive article in a national newspaper?! I know the Guardian probably isn't widely read in deepest Tory Essex, but surely it wouldn't have escaped their attention? Plus as foster carers I'm sure they have probably had actual training on alcohol and substance abuse issues. Ynless I've overlooked it, she also completely fails to mention the breakdown of her relationship with LJC and the effect that had on her mental health. I don't mean in a blame way but surely if you're going to do a tell-all about the worst period of your life (aside from The Poverty TM) then a break up from your fiancee would merit a mention? I know Jack's had more fiancées than the average person, but still...

The main thing I took from it was how much she blames us for her dreadful DKL appearances and she is absolutely seething about it. Her inability to accept that it's her lack of talent that means she is deeply unsuited to TV is truly astounding.

I’ve just been re-reading the article. A quarter of a million messages obsessing about her weight, bungalow, staircase, adenoids. In 18 months. That’s over 450 messages per day. This isn’t a message, it’s a post. A thread post. It’s not addressed to Jack for her attention.
Also, the number of “messages” about grifting, lying, failure to deliver patreon benefits, inconsistencies and how bad the recipes are aka SLOP far outweigh any of the select few topics she has chosen to highlight.

but let’s be honest she’s no shrinking violet who blends into the background, if you’re someone who willingly gets involved in social media tomfuckery (arguments, bizarre streams of incoherent tweets, public criticism of others, public breakdowns…as well as taking part in questionable cooking segments )
You’re going to receive criticism. If you’re an addict, it’s your responsibility to make sure you have the support available when this happens.
And no, support is not defined as “write a poor me article of emotional bull crap with a list of reasons as to why nothing is ever your fault ”
