Absolutely! I adored the Stephen fry ones (I own them on tape, CD and in audible
) but the new acted ones are amazing and I’ve able to access and understand the books in a different way to before

Just imagine being one of her kids and hearing that story, even all those years since it was published. I don’t think I could put into words how proud I would be of my mum and the world she has created for all of us.

It seems the problems the other day where because I had credits you have to spend them before buying more it seems I bought the full set of cast Harry Potters, Susan Ryland, and Home Fires so hopefully keep me out of mischief

oooh thank you, I have just pre-ordered Book 6 and 7 at the sale price rather than spend my 7.99 credit for the next two months. I've got other books that I want to listen to soon so I'll use my montly credits for those.
The full cast audible books really are brilliant.
For me the biggest improvement in OOTP is Snape. I don't know if it's just that I'm getting used to Riz Ahmed's voice, but in this one his voice seems less thin and reedy and has more body to it.
Also Keira Knightly as Umbridge makes me want to break something every time I hear, so I guess she's doing a great job!
I'm a bit on the fence about Ruth Wilson as Bellatrix (she's only just come on the scene where I am in the book). She seems a touch hysterical, even for Bellatrix

imagine if they could get her for the series though - both wilson and knightley. amazing actors.
I'm currently on the Goblet of Fire. My only gripe is that Ron and Harry's voices are very similar now. I didn't have any trouble telling them apart with the younger actors but now they've changed they sound very alike.
I enjoyed the HBO behind the scenes mini documentary, getting to see more of the sets and the scale of them was great and detailed look at some of the costumes. The little glimpses they showed of the golden trio showed they do have the charisma to be these characters.
I did not like how all the people who mentioned the story , the books , the imagination of the wizarding world skirted around J.K. Rowling. She was never mentioned by name except by Nick Frost in the intro voiceover. They all were gushing about this story but couldn’t even give her the credit she deserves for all of it.

Compared to the Lotr - gold standard of bts docs for me - and they had hours of discussion of Prof Tolkein - and his family don’t even like the movies! They discussed what they had changed, what they feel he wouldn’t have liked and all with respect.
I honestly think everyone involved in her IP would like her to just fade away. It’s shockingly disrespectful.

Funny how they are a happy to take the money and use her work because it suits them they might not agree with her but until they finish they should keep their mouths shut, many folk have lost jobs because they have brought the firm in to disrepute they will never ever take her name away from. Harry Potter much as they would love too.
I listened to OOTP on my long car journey and it was brilliant. The journey flew by! Can someone please explain how I can get the next ones? I know theyre not all out yet but I don’t understand audible membership. Do I need to get a years membership and then I can get the rest now? Or do I have to wait a month until I can have the next one?
You can preorder the others I did some folk got memberships for next to nothing they keep changing stuff and I can’t keep up with it all, the book where on sale cheaply the other day about £4.60 there about I hope you get sorted I haven’t started them yet just finishing the Hallmarked Man. They have subscription for £5.99 or £8.99 per month with a 30 day free trial books have gone back up to full price I have just checked the site, check your emails they quite often sent special offers

Thank you! I still don’t understand membership but I’ve managed to get all the ones that are already out for £4.60 each - and then they go up to £17 or so now they‘re in my library. I normally listen to podcasts when I’m cleaning but these are much more entertaining!
