I wish she’d get on the jabs, I’m sick of the repetitive posts about how it’s ok to be fat (she’s happier! Definitely!! Honestly!!) ….and then shortly after, a post saying she’s really miserable and she’s been on a walk for her mental health lol.

This morning saying she’s feeling flat because January, skint….
then literally the next slide “I bought 5 dresses…”
All the dresses on this account look EXACTLY the same at this point. Short sleeved, low neckline, billowing skirt. She styles her hair the same, wears the same shoes. I don’t see who this is useful to.

It all comes across a bit inauthentic for me, and probably to others. On one hand she's always banging on about how busy and fulfilled her life is, how she has so many interests and then 5 mins later it's all about how depressed she gets. If her life was as exciting and joyful as all the screaming and squealing suggests, she wouldn't be feeling down and having to bring herself back up all the time.

I can't decide if all the MH stuff is for content (as I'm sure it gets a lot of engagement and loads of instahuns are playing the MH side up recently, all the filling your cup nonsense) or if it's true and a symptom of the fact her life is a bit empty and mainly geared around overconsumption of clothes and other stuff.

If the latter is true, I can't help wondering if she spent less time on social media and buying stuff she doesn't need, she'd have time and money to volunteer for National Trust or English Heritage, or take a part time role with them (reducing her hours in her current job). If history is, as she always says, her real interest and passion then do more of it - she's got no partner, no children, all her time outside work is her own. And she seems to spend most of it buying or trying on clothes!

So she loves the pink ITS dress which was gifted to her but it hasn't had a proper outing yet?! It hasn't had any kind of an outing yet cos it's still got the tag on?!! The last part of the series "I shopped my own wardrobe" just screams "I've got too many clothes & I can't remember what I do & don't have" - I know exactly what options I have when it comes to a special occasion 😳

I think she buys stuff constantly on impulse - clothes, house stuff etc. it's all over consumption in one form or other. The array of pots which are all similar is like her endless array of dresses in an almost identical style.
I've said it before but for someone who says she's so happy with her life I don't think she is. It shows in the way she spends her money.
Also I find it irritating when she complains about having no money...yet clearly pisses it away on unnecessary stuff.

I do kind of understand her frustrations not being able to find a particular dress in plus sizes but honestly, if she thinks nothing has changed in that market then she is mad. I remember when there was ONE shop to buy clothes from. One. It was take it or leave it. To say things are the same now is simply not true. Also, she is a size 20 and often fits into an 18. The choice for her, as opposed to someone who is a size 26 or bigger, is immense.

And yes, she could wear one of her very lovely A&F dresses. At £90 a pop they deserve an airing

I find her abit too preachy, man hating and ‘woke’. She also tries too hard and needs to tone it down, no-one is naturally that hyper and screechy.
“woke” meaning what? Also the older I get the more I hate men collectively and what society has deemed acceptable for them so I’m with her there.

I agree with the screechy.

I don't mind her too much, she's pretty shrill and manic sometimes and definitely prefer her over the human Eeeyore that is Laura - but if she has an AD coming up to do with finances I'll be back here like a shot!

I’ve had to unfollow her, the squealing gets worse with every post she does and it’s unbearable to watch. I’m all for being excited about things you love but when she’s being this “excited” over the everything (history/choir/antiques/the same style of dresses), the excitement comes across as very fake

There is a lot of weight stigma in medicine and sadly some doctors will take one look at the weight on your form and tell you to go away and diet without taking the time to consider your other symptoms and give proper medical advice. So I understand why she’s sharing it.

sometimes your weight is relevant and needed eg for anaesthetic doses. But other times it’s not relevant to your medical issue and you are totally within your rights not to provide it.

I have to say from where I’m sitting, Laura has made a lovely life for herself and I’d much rather have her life than some of those miserable fuckers shilling on Insta.

This is what irritates me about her...on the one hand she gives it all the 'I'm poor' shtick...on the other she's always spending money on new clothes, house tat, etc. I wouldn't buy one of those Abercrombie dresses, I think they're far too expensive, yet I think she has at least 4/5.
If you can afford 4 x £70+ dresses, don't complain you have no money!

What is that lamp!!? Absolutely not regency glamour, looks like something your Nan would’ve thrown away in the 70s!! Grimy and old fashioned.
